We were pleasantly surprised by the service we received at the Rockford. From front reception (esp Harsh) to the ladies that service our rooms (esp Yang & Julie) to the head of maintenance who were all very helpful and genuinely interested in making our stay as positive as possible. Our room was comfortable and I really like their initiative to make our planet more friendly by offering $10 a day off the bill if you elect not to have your room serviced. The kids also really enjoyed the top deck pool. I think the limited menu for room service needs a look at after 10.30pm. Overall, good value for money and an excellent location.Thank you.
Our experience was far from being excellent as we expected. When we arrived the staff said we had to pay the parking because the hotel parking was full. We were supposed to have a bottle of wine for our honeymoon but the staff forgot to deliver it to our room. Anyway the hotel is good but the staff should be probably a little more attentive to comply with the clients requests.
We stayed here for three nights in Adelaide. We had rooms on the top floor that were beautiful, large, big jacuzzi tub. Also, a desk to work. Free wifi, rooftop pool (the roof is open). There is a restaurant in the hotel, however we didn't eat here (it seemed a bit expensive). Also, it was a long walk to some of the stops we saw. (Adelaide Market, Rundle Mall) The hotel staff recommended taking the bus or metro, but we walked to make it easier. On the third day we ended up taking the taxi which got expensive. Also, the walk to Rundle Mall takes you past hooka bars, and a strip bar so the block gets busy at night. However, the hotel can't do anything about this.
I had a 3 night stay at the Adelaide Rockford. Arriving at the hotel, the outside doesn't give the greatest impression. Check-in was smooth and my allocated room was huge with a separate section for the bedroom and general lounge area. The dark carpets and dated furniture didn't give the most welcome feel. A small desk was provided for those needing to work but the power outlets are limited. Lighting is good in the room but the windows were very dirty. Breakfast served the usual (minimal) hot options alongside a small selection of breads, pastries and cereals. As I got a good rate that included breakfast, it was sufficient but I wouldn't hesitate to venture out for breakfast elsewhere. Having said that, the hotel is on the fringe of the CBD area and there are limited dining options in the immediate area. The hotel restaurant 'Spice Market' was very pricey, but there is a nice Indian and a Vietnamese restaurant opposite the hotel. WiFi was acceptable however a daily log-in code is required. There's no on-site gym but was told guests have access to a nearby facility. The Adelaide Rockford is an ok hotel if staying in Adelaide for a short business trip.
We have stayed in a few hotels around North tce and Hindley street and I must say this is one of the best for the price. The room was well equipped with everything we could need, the staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast was great, even though we got there just as they were shutting it down. There was a bit of noise late at night from some other customers but that was only for a short time. I am not sure if the hotel put a stop to it or if it just quietened down. We will definately consider this hotel again when staying in the city and would recommend it to our friends
Dated interior - furniture from another century placed randomly around the room. The cleaning service was very standard - bathroom cleaned very minimally. No mention of environment or sustainability with towels/ swapping towels around. An expensive option - wouldn't return.
I checked in for a 4 night business stay and received an upgrade to executive room which was newly renovated. Nice clean and spacious room. The car parking on site is very limited and not easy to park a large sedan in some of the smaller spaces. Food was very good quality at the Spice Market. Staff friendly and accommodating.
Good central location, 10 minute walk to the Adelaide expo centre, even closer to bars and restaurants. Lots of good little restaurants off Hindley street. Room was a good sized double, decent internet speed, clean and helpful staff.
stayed here for a single night on business and it was surprisingly good. I got upgraded (requested, Accor Gold) to a huge room. The room was very quiet and I was able to block out sunlight with the two sets of blinds. Internet was reliable and fast. Only problem is when on business the hotel is just a bit far from the centre - like an extra five minutes walk from other hotels.
the staffs are very accommodating and very helpful. particularly the confidentiality of your staffs. i like the way to enter your hotel as it is hassle free. the upgarde was a great welcome on my behalf and i hope it will happen as often as i find the hotel really good value for money.
