Stayed at the Rockford Adelaide for 2 nights last week and enjoyed my stay. The room was generous in size, bathroom was modern and functional. Even though my room was on the second floor on the street very limited street noise. Had a good night sleep in the king bed.
Arrived late, check in was good. Room was spacious but tired in much need of a refurb, furniture was chipped and the chair had white stains on it, dirt and grime on skirting boards and dirty marks on bathroom door and cupboards, went to make a cup of tea but all the spoons had old food on them, complained following morning and to be fair someone came up in ten minutes and agreed it wasn’t good enough, she said a deep clean would be performed on the room, it really wasn’t a deep clean, room had dirty smears on the bathroom door after this had been done Very disappointing I can not recommend this place with standards like this
StAyed for three nights. One night on level two and two nights on level one. Nice big room. A nice big bed. Very clean and comfortable with a belcony. Highly recommended. Nice rooftop pool. To cold when it’s cold outside
We stayed here for 3 nights and found it a great central location to explore Adelaide. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The bar area is okay for meeting up or grabbing a coffee. Did not try the local restaurant.
Slept well for somewhere on bust Hindley St, beds were comfortable, our bed on the 3rd floor had wheels on it and rolled away from the wall easily, bathroom door was held closed by a magnet as opposed to an actual latch, cabinet for coffee and tea supplies had no shelf so supplies were at floor level, stayed the weekend if the V8's but still was a reasonable price. Spent some in the pool area and that is getting pretty dated as well. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble and the service was quick and helpful
Had an overnight stay on recent trip to Adelaide Hotel is very clean and looked recently renovated Would defiantly stay again and recommend Walking distance to many restaurants and Adelaide oval and convention centre
This is a hotel on one of the busiest streets in Adelaide but you wouldn't know it. It is down the quiet end of the street but in walking distance to all the pubs and clubs if you want to visit them. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the bar staff a really great bunch. We were there for a hens night and they didn't seem to mind the rowdy behavior of some of the clan. The room was a good size with everything you needed for a 1 night stay, very neat and tidy and the price was pretty good too.I would stay there again if I had too as it is close to everything but out of the way.
Room was good for what was paid. Service was as fine. Bed was fine. Location is great, not far from exhibition centre, casino or Adelaide Oval. Overall, was a good place and would definitely stay here again.
Stayed one night while in transit with family. Good location in the city centre of Adelaide. It's situated minutes from the Karrawirra Parri - great area for a quick stroll and fresh air. Parking was included and was easy to find. Good and secure underground parking for city centre. Decent sized room. Room decor was definitely dated and the amenities were showing their age. The carpet was really old and worn out. Could not really open windows or sliding door as there were spider webs and dusts all over the mini balcony. Pool on top floor was nice with the open roof. It was not heated so the water was a bit cold in the evenings. Staff was helpful and pleasant to work with. Good selection of IPA beer at the bar.
Recently my husband and I stayed here two weekends in a row. We live a couple of hours out of Adelaide and often spend time in the city for shows, concerts, etc. we like to try out different places and I thought this hotel might become a regular for us, but I have decided not to stay here again. Positives: very centrally located on Hindley St. Lovely rooftop pool. Nice rooms. Clean. Negatives: Parking is $25/car and we often drive in separately, so an extra $50, though that is to be expected when staying in the CBD. Underground parking in somewhat inconvenient location behind the hotel - may be difficult to figure out if you're not familiar with the place. The first time we stayed, requested 11 am checkout and were told immediately this wasn't possible - okay, fine, but manner could have been more polite. The reason I won't be back: on our most recent stay, I drove to the parking garage and pressed the intercom. I said that I was a guest coming to check in and asked if I could park my car and then come up to reception (as I had done the previous week). The staff member said I would have to leave the parking garage (requiring me to reverse up a slope), drive around on to Hindley St, and park in their small front area to check in. Then I could go back to the underground parking and park there. I asked if I really needed to reverse out and he responded that yes, I would and then hung up abruptly. I thought this was quite rude, and couldn't see the issue with just letting me park and come in as I had already prebooked two parking spots. The rest of the stay was fine, although when we were checking out, the same staff member tried to charge me a second time for the room and I had to go into my email and online banking to show that I had already paid. There was no apology, just a statement that they would call me if there was an issue. We're staying in Adelaide again in a few weeks, and I've booked the Playford Hotel.
