Oh dear, breaks my heart to leave such a poor review. Yes, the staff are friendly (if not slightly unpolished) but that's ALL that this hotel has got on offer. I arrived in the evening and got into the very small lift and out on to my floor which was the seediest, darkest corridor I have walked down. Entering my room wasn't better, it smelt musty and old, the furnishings were actually irritates me that the hotel charged the amount it did for a hotel room that really reminded me of a big brother to a Best Western (not part of the Accor chain !!!) You can see for yourself the photos attached, I don't think I need to say more about the room !! I looked into the restaurant for breakfast and decided to go without, it looked sparse and cheap. I stayed here because of my Accor membership but next time will go back to my word "Yuck" !!! :(

We were here for 3 nights while attending the Adelaide school of Business graduation. Staff were excellent, very helpful any way they could be. The restaurant staff was excellent also as was the food. My wife's garlic allergy was not a problem for the kitchen staff. We were able to walk to all functions and there is lots to see within walking distance.

The hotel is located in the entertainment area of Adelaide with many bars, restaurants, and clubs within walking distance. A location that some “sensitive” souls may struggle with, but liked it. The hotel itself is a little tired and could do with a facelift but the friendly and helpful staff helps me overlook these shortcomings. I had a room at the back overlooking the Jam Factory which I had requested after reading about possible noise problems on Hindley Street front rooms on TA. A lucky choice because the first night the council were working all night re-surfacing the road. Being on a longer trip it was great to find the hotel had a guest laundry a feature I think that all hotels should have. I had an enjoyable dinner in the hotel restaurant. The buffet breakfast was of a reasonable hotel standard. All in all I enjoyed staying here and would recommend The Adelaide Rockford for visitors who want to be in the heart of things.

I stayed at the hotel for a very last minute trip and got a good room only rate. I was happy to pay for what I got. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. The furnishings were very old. The staff were wonderful and very helpful.

There was a bit of road works around the front of the Hotel when I stayed so got a great deal....Great hotel with great staff, check in was easy and helpful reception 24 hrs a day. Rooms are excellent and you have all the entertainment you need close by from eating, partying and the Casino just around the corner. Close to transport if you want to venture out.

1st impression lasts. Hotel staff are superbly friendly, pleasant and wonderfully helpful that deserves the 5stars already. The hotel is all what we needed for comfortable holiday. Short walk to tram and bus stations and Rundle mall with lots of choices of restos and coffee shops. The room is mint and well sound proofed from the outside traffic and construction noises providing a panoramic view of the city. I hate dissapointments and I love the service, the location the comfy bed and soft pillows. my kids enjoyed the breakfast selections. To the staff your'e doing great, keep it all way up. It's our 1st time in Adelaide and you provided a wonderful stay. They even provided a late checkout. The service made all the difference. It's all worth it. It will exceed my expectation especially if you offer your fine coffee as a welcome drink. More power to you guys. Hope to stay with you again.

We stayed a 3 nights and we were delighted that our room was ready when we arrived at 10.00 am so we could leave our bags and freshen up and enjoy our first day in the city. The room was good size and clean and we had good sleeps. While we were there the lifts were being refurbished and often not working. We were also disturbed in the mornings with banging and often saw sparks fly out of the shaft when they were burning out metal. glad we were on level one. Restaurant offered special deals each day but were publicised on back of public toilet door.

Everything worked - figure bedroom about 3star. Bathroom 4star - been updated very well. Breakfast really good. Very central. Street was being updated while we were there and when finished hotel will have a much better approach

Old and outdated... had to have our room card replaced at least 7 times during our 4 night stay.. kept giving us excuses why it didn't work.. they changed batteries in the door mechanism and still no good... other guests were also annoyed...lift stopped working on our last day and had to use fire escape stairs to get up and down to our room. very small lift.. cant fit more than 2 people with luggage

Nice little boutique hotel. Main Elevator was broken but alternate was good. Rooms we're very clean and bathrooms were very modern with lots of hot water. Only complaint is that the hotel restaurant was dear - but the food was excellent.
