No Air Con. Avoid

The layout and size of the rooms were good, as was the location of the apartments. Free parking nearby too. But (and this is a very large but) - there's no air conditioning in the Paraiso del Sol Apartments! And there are a limited number of fans if you are lucky enough to get one at all. Truth be told, I assumed most buildings in a sub tropical place like Tenerife would have air conditioning, just like most buildings in Ireland have a heating system. But not the Paraiso del Sol. In fact they scarcely even have fans! At least not the night we arrived when the apartment was like a furnace given that it was an unseasonably hot October. Could hardly sleep the first night, and I don't go on holidays to live in discomfort. Had to ask twice to get their one last (and rather inadequate) fan the second night. Which makes me question how this place is a 3.5 star. At least according to hotels.com its a 3.5 star. Also, I haven't paid for wireless anywhere in about 10 years. Until I stayed here! And, I don't really care about a frill like a hair dryer but again, I thought a 3.5 star would usually provide one.

Great value for money and superb location for Siam park, restaurants, beaches etc. Any issues we had were dealt with promptly and with minimum fuss from staff. It’s fairly basic but that’s why it’s so cheap! Only negatives I would really say about the apartments were the beds and pillows weren’t the best and it would’ve been handy to have had a microwave. Overall though at the price (roughly £60 a night for a 2 bed) we would definitely recommend.

Good Location

This is central in Playa de las Americas close to the beach & night life. It is clean enough & has the basics that you need for an apartment. The staff were helpful for any queries & overall everything went well.

Staff friendly, regular towels and bedding changed, kitchen and bathroom not great and in need of updating, we did notice a lot of tiny bugs coming out of the gaps in and around the kitchen units and behind the wall units, we didn't eat in so didn't bother us, overall good value for money, close to beach, bars and restaurants

Pleasantly suprised. great apartment for the price

We didn't use the apartment's amenities such as the pool/restaurant/bar but they seemed popular. Our rooms were, large and clean but pretty tired. No issue for us who used the apartment for sleeping and getting ready but little else. We were actually pleasantly surprised based on the price we paid. Good location close to the Palm Beach and eating and drinking areas.

The hotel was very central

The rooms could do with some paint .Bathroom was clean and the laundry service was very good .I did have small insects on my work service . I got what I paid for which was fine .

total hell hole

room was dirty, full of ants including bed, lock on door had been tampered with, security didnt do anything except stand there. family visited me at 1am and he just let them walk in even though hed never seen them before. Mouse droppings in cutlery draw, broken shower and floor was better option then sleeping in bed.

paraiso del sol great location

the apartments were a good standard for the price the location was great for self catering with a very good little supermarket nearby an the beach was at the bottom of the road. Siam park was within walking distance and is a must for familys with kids. i traveld with my daughter who is 9 and we were made to feel very welcome. the staff were lovely. all in all a great holiday.

Close to the town, but a dive!

I came to this hotel to merely use it as a base to find work in the resort of Playa de las Americas. The location is fabulous- 5 mins from the bus station where I caught a bus to and from the airport, and 5 mins from a lush beach and the main resort. It's not slap bang in the resort, so I couldn't hear much noise, however this could have been due to the fact that there were barely any tourists! So their are all the positives, now for the bit that I wish i'd have known...! The staff were extremely unhelpful. Check in was a mission in itself, and despite perfectly clear literature informing me that my room would be cleaned every other day, it was not cleaned at all. The room was dirty when I arrived. The saucepans were dirty and the bath has black dirt surrounding it. I arrived quite late and so went to bed as soon as I got in. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and I could hear something scratching on the celing all night- I assume it was a mouse. There were building works going on all day. They were quite noisy and there was no way to relax with that in the background. Luckily, I only used the hotel as a base. Had I have come on a holiday, I'd have been mortified. It would have ruined it for me. So my advice? Stay away!!

Le rapport qualité prix acceptable par contre plusieurs défauts: Le soir il fait froid et l’appartement n’est pas adapté. Le matin, le soleil transperce la porte donc sa réveille. En 5 jours de séjour, la femme de ménage est venue qu’une fois et le ménage était médiocre.

Un calor horrible en la habitación, la cual no tenía ni ventilador, si querías uno tenías que pagar un alquiler por días. Lozas del suelo sueltas y rotas, las camas con ruedas sin freno, lo que implica que cada vez que te novias la cama se desplazaba y hacia muchisimo ruido. Las almohadas eran super finas y duras, salí con un dolor de cuello horrible. El baño olía muy mal, el mal olor salía de la bañera. La nevera y el congelador no cerraban bien, lo cual hizo que se mojara todo el suelo. En resumen una experiencia bastante nefasta en comparación con los demás alojamientos en los que he estado.

Good quality compared to price. Friendly staff. I didn't like the concrete yard in front of our balcony. With small children it was quite difficult. Breakfast was ok but dinner was not so good.

Appartement wordt 5keer per week schoongemaakt maar je moet niet onder de bank kijken. Meubilair is ouderwets maar goede bedden en reëel, voor het geld kan je niks luxe verwachten. We hadden klachten over de bovenburen nadat zij met sigaretten gaten in onze hamamdoeken hadden gemaakt maar nooit enige respons, ook niet na 4keer na de receptie te zijn gegaan. Zwembad is prima en locatie erg goed t.o.v. boulevard en strand. Voor ons de enige keer, volgende keren zonder bovenburen wegens de gehorigheid en met airco want 's nachts zeer warm.

Op loopafstand van het strand, de winkels, supermarkten, Siam mall en de horeca maar toch in een rustig deel. Eenvoudig maar ruim appartement met groot balkon en van alle gemakken voorzien hoewel wat gedateerd. Geen airco dus dat is voor de zomermaanden wel een manco voor ons nu niet. Wij hebben hier een heerlijk week zomer in de winter gehad!
