The environment of the hotel is spoiled by a "pumping station" and huge pipes right in front of the hotel, ruining what you expect from a hotel by the mangroves: noisy, polluted waters, ugly view... Consequently, it is almost impossible to enjoy either the balcony or the pool and terrace. You would better chose the view on the motorway. That being said, the service is perfect and rooms are very comfortable: Anantara standard!
Away from busy bustling city life, Anantara Eastern mangroves is the best place to relax. The hotel ambience is serene and with great customer service delivery. The staffs are very courteous and friendly. We loved the Thai kitchen.
We had a family stayover (3 of us) at Eastern Mangrove which is situated only a few kilometres from the city centre. Unlike other Anantaras in Abu Dhabi Emirate (Qasr al Sarab and Sir Baniyas Island), this one was not that spread out. The main attraction was the swimming pool but for some funny design, the creekside promenade open to general public winds down by the swimming pool. Hence privacy is affected. The staff are exceptionally good as expected in Anantara. The rooms are well appointed and are spacious. Our room had mangrove view. The buffet breakfast had a very wide spread. Overall a good luxury city hotel experience.
Another great experience at Anantara and this was our first time at the Eastern Mangroves location. By far our favourite hotel brand to stay with. There is no beach but they have a great pool and an amazing Friday brunch. Perfect location for a quiet weekend.
I have made one of the best hotel expierince in the Anantara Eastern Mangroves Hotel Abu Dhabi ! From arrival till departure was every day a pleasant day ! Highly recommended ! This journey was just unforgettable
This is our second visit to this hotel and we are not disappointed. The rooms are spacious, the pool is lovely and quiet and the food is superb. Ingredients buffet breakfast offers lots of choices and staff can't do enough for you. Pachaylan is the Thai restaurant which is without a doubt the best Thai we have ever had. Habib and May have been extremely helpful and even suggested ideas and places to visit during our stay. We would certainly recommend the eastern mangroves
I think both staff, facility and food were outstanding. Staff was very kind and attentive , facility is beautiful and super clean ! Food whether by the pool or Thai or breakfast have always exceeded expectations.
There is a lot of good about this resort. Well located, beautiful interior and friendly staff. But I found the resort largely cold and vacuous. Our room had ants inside and the flashing blue lights from the modem underneath the desk at night woke me up through the night. There was large nautical machinery working directly in front of the swimming pool in the mangroves - staff told me it had been there for four months. Quite a turnoff. Food options limited and overpriced - we ate instead at the restaurants a short walk down the marina. Overall - a nice place, I would choose to stay elsewhere if I was to return to Abu Dhabi.
My stay at another Anantara hotel probably set the expectations too high as the facilities here were not impressive. The pool was small and crowded. On the other hand, the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel is a 3-minute walk away from a set of reasonably priced and great restaurants if you want to avoid the in-house options. Unfortunately, during our stay there was a huge (and really ugly) boat cleaning up the mangroves issued by the government and it was situated right in front of the hotel facing the pool and blocking the view. I understand that this was out of the hotel's control, but this should have been mentioned during the booking process or on the website so guests know what to expect. The boat was also really load at times even at night and would show from almost every room on the mangroves side, which are more expensive than the rooms with the city view. The hotel is located close to where the kayaking tours start which was a great activity to do during the stay. It was a nice weekend escape overall but wouldn't repeat.
really enjoyed my stay on fam trip with Eithad Airways at Anantara best of best of both worlds and deffinately recommended to my family and friends The location staff the best and had the best room facing the mangroves
