We traveled to Aberdeen as a family and stayed in the Spires for one night. The check in was not smooth as they allocated us a top floor flat and we discovered there is no elevator. This was not convenient for my mum (who has arthritis) and the kids. The lady at check in took time and was able to find us a smaller flat at the end but on the ground floor which was easily accessible for us. I wish we knew there was no elevator! We found it difficult to switch the shower on and sent a message to the emergency number provided but no one responded to us which was quite disappointing! Apart from that the flat was very clean and well equipped.

I travel to Aberdeen and stay in The Spires weekly. The accommodation is clean, kitchen fully equipped and there is easy access to city centre. However what distinguishes it for me, from other similar types of accommodation, are the friendly and accomodating staff, they have allowed me to leave a bag between visits which reduces the size of my travelling bag and always go out their way to accommodate changes to my itinerary. A clean, safe and accommodating place to stay in Aberdeen.

We stayed for 5 nights with our 10 month old daughter to visit family living nearby. Very happy with the location and proximity to grocery stores, as well as the size of the unit and the use of a washing machine and separate living room. Quiet when we were there mid week which was very nice. A travel cot and high chair were provided for our daughter which were in great shape. Check in and check out were easy. Slightly disappointed overall though for the price we paid. The beds were rock hard, felt as though we were sleeping on plywood! The shower was really needing work, to keep warm water flowing the water pressure needed to be extremely low. We also didn't like all the heavy fire doors that automatically closed in the unit. Nothing was provided to prop them open while we were in the unit so it felt very dark and stuffy. Lastly, the wifi was really expensive! Good choice for us due to location but the units could do with some updates from what we experienced.

I booked one of these apartments when my family and I ( 2 respectable doctors, and 2 teenage daughters) planned to visit Aberdeen to visit my father who is terminally ill. We normally stay at Skene apartments, but unfortunately they were full. 3 days prior to arrival, I received an email in an unpleasant and rather threatening tone, telling me that they hoped I was aware that on top of the price of the apartment, I would be charged a deposit of £250, which would be returned if it was deemed that we had not damaged the apartment, but that it could take 10 working days to return the deposit. When I booked , this was not mentioned at all, and came as an unpleasant surprise to say the least! The email then went on to state that we had better not have any noisy parties, and said that hen and stag groups were not allowed to stay at the apartments. I don't think our group could have been thought to be a typical hen/ stag party by the information I gave at booking! I realise that companies have to cover costs in cases of wilful damage to their properties, and that deposits are a way of doing this, but surely a better policy would be to take details of a credit card at booking, so that the cost of any wilful damage could be recouped retrospectively? This would be better than tarring everyone with the same brush in a "once bitten twice shy" style. It certainly put me off staying, and I cancelled my booking, and booked into a nice hotel instead, which was cheaper, and it wasn't assumed that we were drunken vandals intent on trashing our room. Poor customer service, and I didn't even get as far as stepping through the door!

I have stayed at the Spires a few times while visiting Aberdeen and they never disappoint. The location is perfect for access to the city centre, there is a bus stop across the road with regular service to Union Street. I leave my car in their car park so I don’t need to worry about finding parking in the city centre. The apartments are clean and well equipped. As always a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

A very nice apartment with enough facilities and well maintained. Had a very comfortable three nights stay visiting families in Aberdeen. 10 minutes drive to the city centre and close to the big Asda and Tesco. Kitchen is well equipped and the living room is very cozy. Feels like home away from home...

Good service. Used apartments before with no complaints at all. This time lounge smelt of old smoke, one sofa was broken, both showers worked but one had a broken on\off switch, and the kettle leaked. Sofa bed was just a sofa that the back folded down on with attached cushions leaving nowhere to tuck the sheet in at all. This meant the sheet disappeared over night and my daughter was left 'sleeping' on sweat enducing fake leather with a large dip where the back folded down. If you have a family of 5 ask for an apartment with a proper z-bed. Didn't complain at the time as didn't want the upheaval of moving but I am sure the staff would have been very helpful so I wouldn't fault the staff and would return but just be more specific.

Stayed here for quick stop-over. Superb. Cracking location as you drive north into Aberdeen. Well appointed, everything as new. Loads of space. Only regret - we were only there one night. We will be back.

The flat was warm and modern with washing machine and dishwasher. Towels and clean bed linen are provided. The kitchen facilities are good. There is car parking with a small Tesco and small Coop very nearby. Only complaint is that there was an extra charge for wi-fi.

The serviced apartments are idea for visiting family, or business, and give more space and freedom than a hotel or guest house. The Spires is conveniently located to access main transport routes and is close enough to the citty centre, for walking, and is also on a main bus route. (Saves on the high cost of citty centre parking)
