This hotel is a little rough round the edges, with the bedrooms needing updating and finishing in places, but overall, it was comfortable, warm and clean. I have used it before and will again, although I'm not 100% sold on the breakfast.
Great room with plenty space, clean comfortable and great bed. In a great location just a couple of minutes and you are in the centre of town. Staff were brilliant! really nice and helpful- every single one of them.
Excellent value for money and a brilliant evening of prosecco, dinner, wine, entertainment, piper ceildhl, disco. Room was decorated beautifully, meal was excellent, entertainment and dancing was a lot of fun. This was our second ball at the Copthorne and I can’t wait to book for next year.
recently attended hogmanay ball no complaints everything and everyone very helpful and pleasant food excellent very central location thank you we will definitely stay here again 3 cheers to the copthorne and staff
Nice enough hotel, got a great price online but the rooms are a little dated now, could do with an update in general. Breakfast is good, bed comfy, and staff friendly. Great location and carpark nearby which isnt to expensive.
Great staff, good location and comfortable. Very convenient for union street restaurants and bars. Close to the main shopping areas. As an Aberdonian, before living overseas, I had wined and dined many customers in the Hotel and it was always a good place to meet
I recently stayed at the copthorne in Aberdeen on 23rd December. On arrival we parked in the free parking as advertised on the website. When checking in I explained to the extremely rude receptionist that we had parked there incase she required our car registration. Without even looking up at us yet, (I assumed her rudeness was account of communication as English was clearly not her first language) she said I must ask you to move your car. There was no explanation just the same response over and over. My husband and I awkwardly looked at each other as if we were part of some kind of joke. After passing us our room key she said "you no pre book breakfast over phone you no park." We have stayed at the hotel several times and had never had this explained to us before. So we told her well we would like breakfast but we usually just book it when we arrive? She said "there is nothing I can do please move car there are other guests coming soon. " My husband said well surely it is on a first come first served basis? After realising we weren't going to move the car she huffed and confirmed my husbands and phone number so she could phone us to move the car if 'another guest' required the space! My husband explained as it was Christmas we were meeting friends for drinks and could not return to move the car. We were suitably dismissed and told "It's he best I can do" without another glance. The whole encounter was surreal and preposterous. I sincerely hope they either update your website and inform staff that their social skills leave a lot to be desired. Ironically, I have just checked trip advisor and anther guest had the exact same encounter the day before. Very poor for what is a lovely, though slightly dated, hotel in a great location. I will add that the waiter who was on breakfast the next morning was both polite and helpful. Very disappointing experience on the whole.
Advertised with private parking to then be told I had to park my cars in an unsecured public car park and be charged £10 for the privilege. Was double charged for my rooms and had to wait 6 days for a refund. Managers communication was shocking. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent location and very good value for money. Slightly dated but very clean. Dissapointing car park but managed to get parked in the multi storey opposite so only a short walk. Very attentive staff
Room was nice enough although decor is a bit dated.. unfortunately the TV in my room didn't work.. only a slight impact on my stay... amenities really should be checked before guests check in to stay!..
