Saturday at 1pm. Slow service as only 1 lady serving at bar. Overpriced food and not worth the money. 2 club sandwiches (thin chicken and fatty bacon with mayonnaise and lettuce and handful of crisps on the side) 1 portion of fries, 2 large Pepsi - £37! Service charge too! Took 20 minutes for food to arrive. Took 15 minutes to pay the bill. Not impressed. Hotel needs to address the issues!
Everything is the TOP, from nice breakfast, big and clean room with big TV and fast wifi, good bathroom, to the kind and profesional staff. Swimming pool, sauna, gym, all you need in one place. Taxi to airport 10£, BUS station to visit the city - naxt to the hotel
All of the staff we came into contact with were very courteous and friendly. The room was spacious with usual tea/coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was clean with plenty of fresh towels and a great shower too.
Stay here the other week ..have to say not bad. rooms are clean and tidy with plentry of room to walk around both side of the bed with nice size bathroom unlike some top chain hotels ive stayed in where you cant even swing a cat in the room ..Staff were friendly and helpful the only downside to staying here is if you are a early early riser say 5.45 am and you like something hot for breakfast say bacon egg mushrooms beans ie you get the drift full breakfast in other words in the restaurant you would expect to see it but not here ..here there was hot beans out on display but thats it for the hots food plentry of cold dishs like cornflakes and cheese and cold ham ....In the other hotels like the hallmark down the road or the crown plaza or hotel inn there hot food on at half 5 for early riser's ..So Mr Marriott please put this right apart from that was more then happy with my stay
I stayed here for few days during the recent bad weather and found it to be very comfortable. The room was clean and quite large and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is only open on Saturday nights which is a bit strange so I had to eat in the bar, the service was good but the menu is a bit restricted. The hotel is a bit out of the way and there is nothing much round about but it's only a short walk from the station for a ten minute ride to the delights of Aberdeen.
A night away for us which was fairly local, about an hours drive. We managed to get one of the poolside rooms which was a boost as we wanted this. If you want some peace and quiet the poolside rooms aren't for you as the noise travels through the sliding glass doors which overlook the poolside. We had dinner in the hotel which was very good then a few drinks at the bar. Staff were very attentive during or stay and even had a conversation with the chef during breakfast the next day. My only criticism is that the breakfast did seem rather expensive at £26 for the two of us.
Stayed here for a couple of nights on a weekend break. Staff were superb from our arrival until our departure - couldn’t be more helpful or pleasant. Room was exactly as we requested and very spacious and comfortable and we could have upgraded to a junior suite but didn’t see the need as our room was big enough for us. Restaurant staff in both The Brew bar and the main restaurant where we had breakfast were very attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Aberdeen- highly recommended.
Stayed for one night. Room was on the ground floor & very spacious. Furniture was a bit dated but the room was very clean. Evening meal & breakfast were very good also. Staff were polite & friendly. The only downside was some traffic noise from the road & occasional evening flights from the nearby heliport but that’s just Dyce. I would stay again.
I recently held. a surprise 60th Birthday party at the hotel for my Husband. 9 family members travelled to Aberdeen to stay at the Hotel where the celebration was held. We had the Peterhead suite, a private dining room for a total of 12 guests for a three course meal The food was excellent and the hotel provided a menu which had plenty of choice for everyone. The service we received from the waiting staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Our host from the Marriott was Jim and his attentiveness was excellent and he made sure that everything went smoothly for us . We all had breakfast the next day which again was excellent. A buffet style and the Chef was happy to cook poached eggs etc upon request. Those from our party who stayed at the hotel found the rooms and facilities excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they all slept well. The swimmming pool was also a big hit. The use of the Shuttle Bus to and from the Airport was also an excellent added service. We had a fantastic weekend and a massive thank you to everyone who looked after us. The whole ethos of the hotel is customer services and our expectations were far surpassed. .A special thank you to Kirsty and Hayley who coordinated the event. We will certainly use the hotel again either as a venue to stay or just for dinner. This would suit families, couples and business travellers alike. From the time we arrived to the time we left we were made to feel special .
I stay in a lot of hotels but this has been the best one yet. I can't find fault at all. The rooms were spacious and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in. Even the pillows and duvet felt quality and would off no doubt taken a pillow home with me had I the space. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and the buffet breakfast is good with a wide variety of items. Also the facilities are second to none including the swimming pool and they even have sun beds. I'm going to have to get my company to book us the Marriot hotel more often when in Aberdeen instead of the one we're in just now(Altens)
