Sewage systems in some rooms leave a lot to be desired. Air conditioning and ventilation in buffet dinning areas are terrible. Food has improved a lot from two years ago. Pools have excellent water quality, among the best in the Caribbean. Watersports and activities is the main reason we keep going back.

I had read ratings and heard from friends that the resort was 4.5-5 star and I expected a lot. I was disappointed. There were minor irritants like the safe in the room that didn't work, the in-room coffee machine that broke the second day but I found that the food in the restaurants was disappointing. The food in the buffet restaurant was very good by comparison. The biggest failure in my mind was golf. We played a round of "free" golf which cost $80 per person for the cart and $45 for rental clubs (USD). There were a total of 12 clubs: 1 driver, 2, 3-woods, 8 irons (3 different models of Calloway irons) and a putter. And they were filthy. I wouldn't have bought them for $45.00. I have vacationed at Moon Palace in Cancun and unfortunately, when comparing the two, Barcelo Bavaro doesn't come close. The fact that I was with my kids and grandkids made it memorable but, as I said, I expected more.

The property is very large. We could not get any reservations to eat. The cleaning lady stole items from our room. Property is clean though. Food was average at best.

The pool and beach was lovely. Also entertainment.

OMGGGGG AMAZING. You won’t even know where to begin. Food & alcohol all inclusive. They don’t skimp out. Bring your beach bag, a yeti cup, and cash in $1s just for tipping. You will be set.

Staffs can't speak English at all. Tuey should learn English for thier guests from all over the world.

The restaurants had delicious food. The buffet had some questionable food.

I would recommend that anyone staying here bring plenty of bottle water. The reason the bottle of water that is put in your room is already used and they refilled it with tap water give it back to the guest. They don't even have a convenience store where you can buy your own water. The beach is very nice but to bad we couldn't stay in the water to much seaweed everyday. JUST BE CAREFULL WITH THE DRINKING WATER.
