Arriving at the main entrance, I took an elevator to the 3rd floor reception desk. I then had to take another elevator to the 4th floor and walk roughly 50 yards to the entrance to the club, where I had to take yet another elevator to my room. This was clearly not thought out very well.
The club itself was limited in food options and staffed by very friendly, albeit virtually uninformed personnel.
The room featured an empty mini-bar, which despite asking 3 times, was never stocked.
Housekeeping seemed to forget about me 2 of the 6 days I was there, despite me calling to ask to have my room cleaned...
Room service was subpar with dry eggs, stale toast and mixed up orders. The same was true of the restaurant where the cassoulet was terribly dry, bordering on inedible. This is unacceptable in a city famous for its French food!
While the staff throughout was very friendly, it seems they suffer from a lack of training and information.
A notable unfriendly incident involved a belligerent and condescending security guard working the main entrance. I was trying to find the rear entrance to avoid having to change elevators twice, but instead of offering assistance, he charged out of his unmarked car and barked at me to leave the property. After I showed him my room key, he barked again and told me I wasn't listening to him. I tried to report the incident at the reception desk but found the desk abandoned. I called from my room and never heard about the incident again.
