The location was really excellent. We could hop on the freeway and get to all our destinations quickly. Universal Studios was only 17 minutes away. Downtown was about 25 minutes. The beach was 35-40 minutes. I liked the huge courtyard with old palm trees and a large pool. I also liked that they had gated parking and a security guard in the evening. I was very comfortable having my family stay here.

Don't even sweep the floors and the bathroom was beat up and bad water damaged especially the door!

Pool it’s nice! Person in the front desk was rude and he keep telling me just a minute while watching tv program
For starters, the first thing we were greeted to was a cockroach in the bathtub and the manager responds to "that's normal" whereas in other hotels the sight of a cockroach is nonexistent. Next, we got locked out of our room so we sent our son to ask for help and the manager threw the card back at my son. Afterwards, we went because the card still wasn't working and the manager responded very differently. He greeted us with respect, but to my son he was aggravated and rude.
The staff are very friendly and my bed was very comfortable. However, the vibe of the place is old and tired. The carpeting is old, dirty and musty, and the furniture is just “old”. The only thing really going for it is its location. Almost every service is within walking distance from hotel and the neighborhood is safe.

We have 2 other buildings in the back and far away from the street noise . Please advise the front desk to assign a room in any of those 2 buildings if otherwise it is ok with you.
