Impeccable service with a friendly and supportive staff. Great location with walking distance to restaurants, shows, and transportation.
Wonderful hotel in the heart of London. Service was outstanding and the room was superb. Highly recommended.
Tight quarters. Bed mattresses are very hard. Pillows are not that great.
Pros: prime location, close to tube station, great staff, nice lounge, unique afternoon tea experience (Charlie and the chocolate factory) Con: room size was small
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful pool. Very central location for theaters and museums. And the service is absolutely top. You can't go wrong here.
i've been staying at onealdwych for 10 yrs now and its one of the few hotels in london that combines upscale experience with great non snobish service. You will not be sneered at if you walk in jeans like i have many times at the Claridges or Connaught and you'll receive professional service that you are used to from world class hotels in other major cities. I
From the moment of arrival to the last step taken outside its glass doors, the service and comfort of One Aldwych is superior in every way. Every service is flawlessly rendered with well-trained, courteous staff. Attention to detail is shown in choice of art and sculpture in the building and in each room. Flowers are changed daily in the rooms, and the marvelous cuisine and continental menus of the two restaurants are delectable. The rooms are super comfortable with every amenity, are kept clean and tidy, and room service is gracious and prompt. If you have planned to see London theater and museums or galleries, the location is centrally located in Covent Garden. The beautifully appointed Lobby Bar is perfect for meeting friends, having a pre-theater dinner, or cozying up for a late night cocktail. One Aldwych is peerless in every way.
Frette linens, great buzzy ambience--everyone in the lobby lounge bar looks like a film director--and two terrific restaurants. The rooms are not large but very comfortable. The only strange aspect is that in the effort to be green, the bath and toilet do emit some very strange sounds!
