Staff needs training on how to approach guest. I checked my bags with the bell desk because I had a late flight and wanted to explore the city a bit more. Upon returning to the hotel, I used the restroom to change into my travel outfit. Then I used the area just outside the restroom to consolidate my bags from shopping and changing. The overnight security approached me with an aggressive tone. Questioning whether I was a guest. After I told him I checked out and that I was preparing my bags for my flight, he continued to question me; asking if I had a ride. Then telling me I had to leave if I checked out. At this, I proclaimed he was harassing me. He tried to tell me it was hotel policy. I pointed out other people in the lobby and asked, why haven't you asked them to leave. His response was because they're guest. And I said, how would you know if you didn't ask them. At that, he walked away. Until this moment, I had enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly, the facilities were well kept, the property is conveniently located, and I especially appreciate the complimentary breakfast. I had planned to return to this hotel the next time I visit Houston, but I will not.
