I would have given them 5 stars but staff was not clear about check out time . Nor was it posted anywhere visible about the time to check out . We ended up having to rush back to hotel and clear room because we exceeded check out time.

Staff were excellent and accommodating. Only issue was rooms were too hot and difficult to turn down temp. That small issue was irrelevant as everything was outstanding

Take a duster
Our room hadn't been cleaned. There were hairs on the toilet seat, there was dust everywhere (for an asthmatic person this wasn't acceptable at all). Inside the toilet and in the sink it looked like someone had emptied a dust pan and not cleaned up after. Towels in the bathroom had dirty hand marks on them. Dust on every surface. When we approached reception the young lady looked at us like we had made it up and didn't apologise (her colleague did), her attitude was not customer friendly or focused. When housekeeping had been back to our room they still hadn't dusted/cleaned everywhere, There was still black dark patches in the toilet rim, and dust on surfaces. No one checked back with us to ask if we were happy or not. When we checked in, reception didn't offer us any information on dining at the hotel, nor update and advise us there was building work/decorating. We were woken at 7.30ish every morning with noise from the workmen (scrapping/filling/talking), which again isn't acceptable when you've booked a relaxing break. The room was comfortable with a separate lounge.

Superb located apartments that were clean and functional. Small kitchenette facilities were perfect for porridge at home before a day exploring! Plenty of superb places for coffee and dinner within easy walking distance. Would happily return.
