Was extremely excited to stay at the Westin Anaheim, having heard great things about the service and location of the hotel, for our first family vacation for the parks.
Arrived Saturday evening after a long journey from Scotland & the hotel was mobbed. Checked in & was advised we had been upgraded (don't get excited..) Also told the local eateries & that Flemings was an upmarket steak house with suit jacket requirements, so not suitable for family dining...
Unpacked and started to settle our 4 1/2 year old to sleep, only to be met with carnage outside our upgraded room... outside the elevators... Cheerleading kids ramming mobility scooter into doors and causing carnage. Told them to pack it in & then they started kicking our door in later in the evening. Security had to resolve & they moved our room the following day, which meant packing up again and losing the following day waiting to move.. No apology or management approached us at all to discuss this experience.
Whilst the hotel is a great location & luxurious is some aspects, do not be fooled into thinking you'll get a good nights sleep here. ZERO soundproofing between rooms. ZERO soundproofing from the doors as you hear slam after slam & the street noise is ridiculous, not to mention the roof bar that thuds music until 11pm. If you dont have young children, it probably wont affect you, but if you do - dont stay here.
Checked out & never even got asked how our stay was.. Not a hotel to be booked again.
