Only 1 pet friendly!
Really can't comment on anything regarding this place because we got turned away at check-in! We chose this red roof because of location, outside appearance (stayed in hotel next door in October), and because they are pet friendly - however, you can only have 1 pet per room, which is why we were turned away (2 small dogs). This wasn't mentioned when booking. This was very inconvenient for us at 11pm?

The staff were friendly and accomodating when asked for cleaning or assitance. There was a surprise fee of am extra $1.50 per night for booking via Expedia. The room smelled of mildew, there were popcorn seed and small bits of trash on the floor. There was a thick layer of dust on the headboards and it was very very dirty behind thebtv stand and the bedside table. The bathroom floor looked like it never gets washed, there was dried blood on the wall and brown around the toilet pedestal. The beds felt like we were sleeping on wood planks, the pilllow too thin. The walls too thin and there was a gap around the entire door, we could see light around 3 sides of the door and could see when people walked by. We could hear all of the traffic, the ice machine, the waffle maker, and conversations in the lobby. We could also hear the tv (all night long) and the conversations in the room next to ours. The breakfast was disappointing. Apples were the only fruit offered, the eggs were watery. The tables did not get wiped down between use. There is a fantastic Indian restaurant nearby.

When we checked in, had a 3rd floor room, no problem with that but elevator wasn't working. They did get it working after a bit. Room was so so, could not latch or lock bathroom door, old dirty towels hanging on back of bathroom door.

Not as good as expected
This was a trip to visit family in the area. We used the room exclusively to sleep. The entire hotel had a funky smell when you walk in the door. The room smelled of mold. There was an iron in the room with no ironing board. None were available to use. The breakfast was typical continental breakfast. The “scrambled eggs” were always watery because they added too much water to the powdered mix. Overall, not very pleasant experience.
