Overall the property is very nice but definitely needs tons of work done too it. The biggest downfall from this place was the food! The buffet was terrible-which breakfast is NOT hard to miss and lunch forget it! The mix &match place that opened from 1:30pm-5pm only had sandwiches, a salad bar (lettuce was never washed) and cold soup! Our kids spent hours in the pool therefore they would always want to snack but food was always limited and not great at all. The poultry was old , soup was never warm enough, limited fruits and any or all food. Then there was the Snack Bar on the 5fl was also a terrible option. Once all items were out of stock they never restocked it , so it was not feasible. There were tons of people on the resort so they should be much more aware of restocking- specifically for the KIDS! The fruits were terrible too , it’s not really hard to miss on the fruit ! The restaurant on that 5th FL tower was the worst experience. Opened at 12:20pm and was only ONE server for tons of tables! From the appetizers to the dessert it was horrific! The food quality, presentation and taste. We weren’t expecting 10/10 food specially from A resort but it truly was a huge deception… at the end of the trip we found out this isn’t a Marriott owned corporation it’s a FRANCHISE so the quality and standards must be dropped. Would definitely not recommend this place to families with kids- to top it off we all got intoxicated too .

My family, husband and two sons ( 17,13) just returned from a 6 night stay. Absolutely beautiful! The staff were so great! Accommodating, friendly, and fun! The pools were great! Breakfast and dinner at the buffet, food was decent, better than I thought it would be for an all inclusive. The hibachi was SO GOOD and fun! Service everywhere was really great. Our room was nice and the beds were comfortable. They have a taco truck at night and my boys went every night and some nights they show movies outside. We had a wonderful week at a beautiful resort. Can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful grounds, well maintained. Some people complained about all the walking, my wife and i thought it was fine, needed exercise after all the drink and food. Property is not as big as the pictures depict. Dinner was not great in our opinion, Dried out chicken, beans, salsas, below average deserts. Taco night, Italian night were ok.Breakfast and lunch were good, options restricted to one restaurant thou, except for Teppanyaki the only allocarte restaurant, and it was Great! Beach club had good food and drinks however you were like cattle in their small area on beach that was un swimmable (waves and rocks). Beware when you leave beach club we witnessed 2 staff members bump 2 of a family of 4 so they could go back to hotel, Not Cool! Staff needs their own shuttle back from work not the Customer shuttle. Shout out to Liz at front desk, Ronnie and Allan the bartenders, great job very friendly.

We had an amazing stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott, Riviera Nayarit! The pool pool restaurant/bar were our favorite, but there are TONS of pools to enjoy! Of the smaller pools, there are some warm/hot and some cooler so be sure to check them for your preference! The food at the restaurants was great, and there’s an evening taco truck! The hibachi is AMAZING, best food we had and such a fun experience. The buffet always had something we enjoyed, be sure to fill up on breakfast because the pool bar food does not open until 12:00 (we are early risers). I cannot say enough good things about the staff, they were the most lovely group of people and SO helpful and friendly. They truly care and want to make your experience amazing. The property is spread out/hilly, but you are able to request golf cart transportation around the property if you need it. My husband had a prior foot injury, any time the staff saw him walking they stopped and offered him a ride! We went to the beach club one day which was also a blast, the food and custom cocktails were delicious, the water was nice (they put colored flags out to indicate the water safety level) and we saw whales jumping! We went for a couple hours which was the perfect amount of time. We did not venture elsewhere, but had friends explore the area and venture to Sayalita and said it was fun and super safe. Overall, we have no complaints! Highly recommend.

The grounds for this property were nice however the food was horrendous. The coffee machine was broken most days. They ran out of food at the buffet. I have been to Marriott before so was expecting good quality but this was by far the worst resort I have ever been at. Other guests felt the same.
