Arriving at The Moxy was such a wonderful experience, it’s such a beautiful hotel the decor is amazing we loved all the plants, lighting and furniture. The staff was very welcoming a friendly, check in was quick and easy, our room was spacious enough for two people to stay comfortably the decor of the room was fun and they provide a built in sounds machine to helps filter out the city noise, our room was also very clean. The only thing I would suggest is changing the sliding door for the restrooms, it wasn’t very effective at creating privacy when using the bathroom but other than that we had an amazing stay! Would highly recommend staying here.

This new property was in a convenient area for eating and visiting downtown Portland. They have a white noise machines that work well as the walls are a bit thin. The building, rooms and furniture is all very new. We were lucky enough to find city parking spots on the street and it is free over night. Free beverage with check in.

At check in, staff was great. There was only 1 elevator working and had to wait forever because house staff was using it all day for cleaning. More than once waited more than 5 minutes for the elevator only to be met with a car full of room service staff and all their carts, so had to wait longer. In my room, all night hearing the elevator bell every time the car passed or stopped on my floor. The biggest issue I had and the reason I will never stay at this location again is that I came back to the hotel after midnight and the vallet was closed. I went to the front desk to give them my keys. The front desk told me there ballet opened at 7am, I told them I had an early flight and would be down to get my car at 7:15 at the latest. The front desk told me "no problemm" and that they would tell the ballet to leave my car there. When I got down at 7:05 my car wasn't there. I asked the front desk what was going on and they said they were sorry, and they told the ballet to leave it there, but they moved it. The front desk called the vallet and told them to get the car. I waited outside and 15 minutes later the vallet showed up with someone else's car and gave me a dirty look. Then ran back down the street and came back 5 minutes later with another customers car. Then he went inside to the front desk. When he came out he went to the vallet stand, he told me not to look at him like that, and that I should have come too him to get my car and not to the front desk. Whatever. Then he left

The room is very small with very thin walls. They do provide a sound machine but it doesn’t help. It feels like the hotel is trying to be trendy without providing the normal amenities you expect in a hotel room. The bathroom door is a sliding door style. I didn’t like that at all. Next time I will book at another place.

Funky, youthful spot in downtown Portland
Really loved this hotel! I had read about it being loud but I didn't have that experience - they have also helpfully provided earplugs and a smart noice cancelling machine if it were a problem (but again, maybe my neighbours were quieter than usual!). The room was small but super efficient with a lot of smart touches. Staff were lovely, and the free drink ticket was much appreciated. Would stay again for sure.

The hotel is great and located one block from the light rail station from PDX airport. Staff are great, the rooms are On the small side but more than adequate and there are tons of restaurants, small shops, Nordstrom and Powell‘s books within walking distance. Neighbourhood is Silver recovering from the Covid downtown effects, but such is life.

The water pressure in the showers is very ridiculously low. It took me so long to rinse my hair it was a bad experience. The shower is to be relaxing after a long day of traveling to get there. The place and staff is very nice.

Used to love this place but definitely not what it used to be. Paper thin walls and noisy. Iron had brown liquid seeping out of it. No counter-space and ratty blankets. Crazy slow elevators. Etc.

The front staff greeted us immediately, Tim at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and very quiet. My favorite part was the sound machine. Overall this will be always my main place to stay when i come back to Portland for the full experience.

Loved the simplicity of the decor in our room. It was so clean. Friendly staff at the front desk. Parking was expensive at Moxie. So we had to park a couple of blocks away which wasn’t the most convenient however the staff was helpful with parking and luggage logistics.
