Not a four star hotel, but it was fine for one day!
Let’s start with the positive:
LOCATION was fantastic, right next to the R train and walkable to everything in midtown.
Great view. Super comfortable bed, sheets, and pillows. TV worked. Clean room. Quiet from within (NYC street noise is a given.) Easy check in and check out.
Now the reasons I can only give three stars:
There was one working elevator on my side of the building, which meant there was always a line and a wait to use the elevator. Thankfully I was only on floor 6, so my hotel room became a 6 floor walk-up (100 steps!) if I didn’t want to wait for the elevator. It was inconvenient but fine for me, but if anyone had mobility issues, time constraints, or paid to rent a room on a higher floor, this would be awful. The hotel should divulge this upon booking. My room had a broken hair-dryer, which vibrated and made loud noises when turned on. I turned it in to the front desk and had a new one delivered to the room. There was no hair conditioner in my shower, which I unfortunately did not realize until I was in the shower, so it was too late to ask for it to be refilled. I specifically booked a hotel with a bathtub, but, when I went to fill the tub, the water coming out of the faucet was brown. I have video footage of this.
It did not feel like a 4-star hotel experience. It was fine for my one night stay, but I would not want to stay here again.
