Very comfortable property where the service really shines. Rooms are a bit dated; nostalgic at best. But they don't feel pretentious or stuffy, with a touch of class(lookin at you chaise loung). Staff has always been genuine and hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure guest happiness whenever I've needed anything. And at three star prices this place is a steal.

The location of this hotel is fantastic. Theatres everywhere, even next door and across the street. Junior's right across the street. Within walking distance to many sights and museums, including MoMa, 5th avenue, Rockefeller Plaza, Time's Square and more. Our room was large. We had a bit of a problem with it being too warm, and wished for a refrigerator. The shower was not warm enough and the sink water was scalding. You could not mixed hot and cold water to create warm, so you either burned or froze. Otherwise, the bed was very comfortable, there was a in-room coffee and a desk and separate chair. I requested a chaise for my sleeping needs, and after two requests, one was provided. It's a very nice hotel, friendly staff, and best of all the location.

Needs some maintenance on hvac and water temps
There were only a couple problems with our room which is why it was not great. It is a nice building in a great location. The problem was that we were not able to cool the room down. This made it miserable to try to sleep in. The biggest problem was that the shower temperature would not stay constant. After being good for a little bit, it would immediately be scalding hot, the go to super cold. After a bit, it would be good again but then shortly later it would burn you out of no where. This happened when everyone showered.
