Found roaches in the bathroom. They came from a crack between the wall floor corner and bathtub. Showed the crack floor to Maintenance, and they explained it is a major job to fix. Maintenance was able to escort us to a new room. There is also a broken wall socket cover behind the bed stand that should be fixed. Also, the bathroom mirrors in each room seem to be peeling off from each corner towards the bottom. It makes the hotel feel unkempt. Fixing little things help improve cleanliness feel to the room. My review is not a reflection on the hotel staff. They have no control on over hotel renovations. The Wyndham Hotel and Resort guest rooms should not have roaches. Not at this price point. The hotel front desk stated, we cannot refund you your room due to it being purchased through Orbitzs and contact Orbitzs for a refund. They would make a notation for Orbitzs to review. What was surprising about the interaction was how common it seem to them to hear about roaches in the guest rooms. The hotel needs major renovation like adding AC to the elevators. The hot New Orleans heat and humid is not a nice feeling in a small full elevator checking in from a long flight. This review is not a reflection on the Hotel Staff, but the Wyndham Hotel and Resort needs a major renovation to its rooms. The renovations will not only make the guest happy, but also motivate the Hotel staff.

Very convenient and walking distance to many great places and including restaurants. Enjoyed Mr Ed’s Seafood. Love the Vallet parking. One thing I felt was odd at this stay was the cleaning lady knocking at 8:30am asking if we were leaving that day????
