The hotel is nicely located, everything felt like it was a ten minute drive away. Very good and different dining options on the same block that’s within walking distance. Parking is very convenient. The staff made check in easy and very very helping in provide any needed info of the area. The room was very cozy and the shower and bathroom were nice. The bed was comfy and the historic aspect of the hotel gave my stay a wonderful feel.

Staff was friendly and informative. For a hotel that is 120 years old it seems to have aged well. The only thing I would of liked is a grab bar to help step into the deep tub. We are seniors and little things like that would be appreciated.

Great place
This is a really cool old hotel. The location is right in downtown and great access to all attractions in Monterey. The staff was helpful and friendly. The building itself is beautiful inside and very well kept.

Had a king room in old part of hotel, ok but basic but was facing the main street. Noise of people coming out of bars as well as what seemed to be drag racing along road kept us awake till 1.
