Right near mill park on Mississippi river, and near my conference and some nice indian and thai restaurants. Excellent staff and very clean and quiet.

I very much liked my stay at ALOFT--a new, clean, beautiful facility. I was very taken aback when I arrived at 2:05 from the airport and was told I would be charged $30 if I wanted to get in my room before 3pm. I declined and waited in the lobby until 2:45 when the receptionist" got permission to let me into my room)

The design of the room used the space well. I really liked the toilet/shower area.
A nice hotel, convenient to both public transit and food (groceries and restaurants), and just a block off of park blocks along the Mississippi River. The workout room and pool were nice and clean. Front desk staff and bar staff were helpful and friendly. The only downsides were 1) unexpected room service (I didn't expect any at all) that was done half-assed ... some towels/washcloths taken for cleaning, but no replacements were provided .... and yet clean towels were provided and the bed made ... but the room had not been vacuumed; and 2) hotel staff complaining to each other in the hallways, loud enough to hear, about how they didn't get a promotion or get to become the lead for a crew. Very unprofessional, honestly.
The lounge area was incredible. Long open tables, pool and shuffle board, great couches and fireplace.
For events at US Bank Stadium, it’s a perfect location. But, don’t expect much. Parking is a la carte and was sold out. No breakfast included. No hot breakfast available, Only pre-packaged muffins and such. Loads of road noise and street sounds even after midnight. Not your typical Marriott experience. Low toilets like in a preschool. Very squishy beds. If you like a firm bed, this is not for you. I’d stay again for an event at the stadium, but otherwise, no. The only thing good was the location.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area of Minneapolis--just a nlock from a spacious park, The Guthrie Theater and a couple of blocks from a gorgeous and peaceful river path and the St. Anthony Main Bridges. We felt very safe but I will note that breakfast options in the area are limited right now due to the pandemic. It seems many spots within walking distance are temporarily closed. Still, there are plenty of options within a short drive. Trader Joe's is also just across the street, which is a nice bonus.

Gym and pool are very nice but unfortunately couldn’t use them due to state restrictions (not the hotel’s fault). However, the lack of hot water and lack of room cleaning was ENTIRELY within management’s control. Don’t pre-pay for a stay because if you need to check out early because you can’t use the shower due to lack of hot water, you will not be offered a refund.
The help at the front desk was AMAZING!! I love to stay at this Aloft when I am in Mpls.
