Solmar has a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. . . We love the easy walk to town, the amazing cocktails at the upper pool bar, and the staff is top notch!!!

The property is great. The people are great. Its the resort practices that we didn't like. The drinks are not complimentary. The all-inclusive deal is $100USD per person per day, which I feel is unreasonable. They will also try to lure you with "activity" and "shuttle" deals and then corner you into a TimeShare opportunity. Lastly, the website advertises swimming, bicycling, tennis... none of which are at the resort. You have to taxi or walk to enjoy these activities.

Love the property and the staff. The downside was our 1 bedroom condo was in the 3rd floor with no elevator ( got our steps in) and no tv in the living room area.
