We had a wonderful 7 days at Barceló. The staff are incredible! Attentive and kind. Very clean, spacious property and rooms. Yes it’s a little old but it’s been maintained so well. The food at the buffets were so good, always looking forward to our next meal. The food at the restaurants were ok, we preferred the buffets. We are refreshed and reset to go back home to real life again. Only bummer was we celebrated our anniversary while we were here and let them know at check in and also when I made reservations for the restaurant and nothing was done for it even though they say they do something special. But other than that we had a top notch time.

The property was very nice, but the all inclusive was very confusing as room service was not included and with other resorts, it typically is included. Also, a lot of issues with the water, the hot water was scorching, and there was no cold water when we would take a shower at night. The restaurants offer the same food from the buffets, but advertised differently. There is no coffee service being offered between the morning and lunch buffet, and the dinner buffet. There’s no place to be able to grab a coffee in between while those were closed so that was a little bit of a bummer. The place overall was great and we had a fantastic time, but just a few improvements here and there especially for a five star resort. Thanks

Premium upgrade is definitely worth it. Felipe took care of us at the Premium bar. Room was always clean. All amenities available. Turn down service was a perk. View from balcony was amazing listening to the waves crashing.

I didn’t like the service since i got there Jose Garcia gave us the worst welcome and didn’t help us with are needs or anythinglike other hotels i stayed at. We requested a roller bed that never got into Monday and cause i requested it from another associate name Javier. I honestly didn’t want to ask for anything after that. Food is okay not what i expected. Breakfast is the same every morning also lunch. Drinks where not the best either i honestly wouldn't return or would recommend it to anyone.
