I asked to see if there is a microwave and she just flat out said that the whole big hotel property has NO microwave. I spent 50 pounds on food to just heat up and eat with my family. I had to throw out and ate junk food at McDonalds. There is not many options around and I knew that. That's why I brought my own ready to eat meal, but I just had to heat them up. Also, my adaptor isn't working and I need it for my work laptop. They just flat out saying that they had none for me to borrow for a couple of hours. They wanted me to buy a new one for 15 pounds. It's noisy in the hallway. I can hear the door slams all night. I guess it's an older property.

An easy journey by Heathrow pod to the Thistle after a long flight. Hotel is good value for money and breakfast was included

Bad experience.
Got ignored at check in . Plenty of staff milling around but no one had the decency to acknowledge me. Waited a good 10 minutes to get checked in . Hotel is run down. Shower stopped and started , cold water tap just dribbled. Not even a toilet roll holder in bathroom . To top it all pod was not working ( I understand that this is not hotels fault ) and had to wait 10 mins for a coach .

Hotel reception smelt strongly of Marijuana and check in took a long time. Rooms were clean and well equipped but bed was quite hard

Good transport to Terminal 5 via the pod (£8 per person), or bus service on main road outside hotel. Restaurant open till 10pm and bar till 11pm. Very nice to have a bath as well as shower facility.
