Moana Surfrider is our favorite resort in Honolulu. It's a beautifully maintained historical landmark and has wonderful amenities and service. Do yourself a favor and opt for this resort the next time you are in Oahu.

Nice Hotel but...
The place was very nice but we booked an Ocean View balcony and the balcony was screwed shut so you could not go on the balcony. They did alert us to this about a week before our trip. We were scheduled for a second stay at the same hotel at the end of our trip and we ended up switching to the Sheraton Waikiki.

Unfortunately, all balconies on the hotel were bolted closed due to an incident on one balcony at the second floor. This was a Major issue as we had booked Ocean view with balcony and were planning on spending much time on the Balcony daily. Other it was limited availability of Cabana's and sun beds. Unless you were willing to line up at 7am, sorry sir all gone. Food was good and ambience excellent. Also to note the sandy beach is manmade and sharp volcanic rock is easily exposed from wave action and they are sharp.

Beautiful hotel with great customer service. Right on the beach with an amazing beach bar. We really enjoyed our stay.
