It's not cheap for what it is but you are paying for the convenience of the location. Ideally situated in the park, the hotel also has a restaurant and cafe, the supermarket is nearby and the shuttle stops there. Heat and AC, TV and a warm shower are luxuries in a national park and they all worked well. I didn't think we would have wifi either, but our phones did have data. Walls are really thin though and people made a lot of noise especially really early in the morning with doors slamming and people talking in the hallways.

Location is what makes Yavapai Lodge a great place and the reason we chose it. The room is not fancy but offers the space we needed and a comfy bed. We would have liked having a microwave but that wasn't a deal breaker.

Great location! Super nice staffs.

Reasonably priced and the location was fantastic! I would definitely stay here again when visiting the Grand Canyon

Less people in this area and easy parking. Great centrally located spot!

Inside the park, closed to shuttle stops.

This lodge was convenient and clean :) We enjoyed the entire facility... from dining to the market to the room!

Worst property I have stayed at in Grand Canyon. Outdated room, no WiFi in rooms, soap disydiddt work etc.

Our room was fine, but so basic for the extremely high cost.

coffee machine wasnt working

We loved the feel of the environment, and the convenience of staying inside the Park.

Plumbing is outdated and can function poorly at times

Older place, but overall clean. Convenient to grab a shuttle, or just drive to the visitor center, or other park areas.

Nice room centrally located in Grand Canyon Village. Short drive to Hermit Road, South Rim Visitor’s Center, and East Gate. Only detractor is that the main restaurant is closed right now (seems to be an extended closure) and the only food at the lodge is the tavern. The food there is food but there are very limited offerings. All in all we were pleased with our stay.

This is my second time staying at the Yavapai Lodge, and I love staying in the park. (I would never stay outside the park--being able to wake up inside Grand Canyon National Park is part of the experience.) It's quiet, has easy access to the Greenway (for walking or bike riding), and is an easy walk to the Visitor's Center and the Rim Trail.

Would recommend

The lodge look really bad, they need a renovation!! But cleaning, location, comfort of the beds was really good.
