We had an excellent stay! Could not have asked for more. Our room was spacious and had a great balcony view. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating to request. The beach was wonderful and overall we had the best time. We will be coming back again the future!!!

Overall my family (dad, mom, and almost 4-year-old daughter) had a great experience at Lago Mar. The hotel itself was lovely, room was quiet and comfortable, the pool was outstanding, and staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially with our daughter. Only two drawbacks: 1) the food outside of the breakfast buffet was pretty bad, especially for a hotel of this caliber; and 2) the hotel is very isolated, no stores or restaurants within walking distance. So a tip for other families: order grocery delivery from Whole Foods or Publix.

Beautiful old-style beach resort, elegantly furnished, excellent dining options, excellent grounds and situated on a beautiful beach. Need a bonus? NO RESORT FEE to use pools, beach chairs, gym etc. A terrific hotel for families or couples, whether you're staying a couple of nights or all week.

The property was old and outdated, well maintained except the gym which was so antiquated it should not be in service, also children in gym left unsupervised, no staff ever around to monitor. The biggest disappointment was the service at the pool, Nicole the server was rude, inpatient, and only friendly to those she knew from prior stays at the resort. Many couples were disgusted with the service Nicole provided. She often brought out the wrong drink and was argumentative when asked to correct the mistake. Very poor service and she was the only server every day we were there. It got to the point that many of us got up and walked outside the pool area to get our own drinks to avoid Nicole. To have someone who is so obviously rude and disrespectful is inexcusable. Nicole would remember that you had a problem with your drink order and walk right past you with her head down and ignore you, not even ask if you needed anything and move on to her regular customers with all smiles and laughter. Nicole should be reassigned to a job where she doesn’t deal with customers as she discriminates against various people. Any positives were negated by this constant behavior daily that we were subjected to.

Away from the "rat race " quiet residential area, right on the beach. 0.9mile to watch cruise ships sail away. We love the family owned hotel. Have done for years!! Great service.
