Getting to Telluride

Making the trek to Telluride is an adventure in itself. You will most likely fly into Denver International Airport and then board a smaller commercial flight to Durango-La Plata County Airport. Winter holidays and summer weekends tend to command the highest prices in Telluride. August thunderstorms can briefly soak streets and trails, but the month is often dry, with an average humidity of about 10 percent.
