Exploring Arizona: Three Scottsdale destinations by car

One of the great things about Scottsdale is its mix of urban and outdoor adventure. Here are three spots to discover by car.

Old Town Scottsdale

Spend some time in Downtown Scottsdale, also known as Old Town. The district is full of 1920s buildings with Southwestern accents, housing boutiques, lounges, and restaurants.

Art lovers can browse the galleries on Main Street and visit the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, while those more interested in Scottsdale’s history and culture will like the Western Spirit: Museum of the West. Save time for shopping – you’ll find everything from handcrafted items to vintage cowboy boots.

There are two hiking trails: Cholla Trail and Echo Canyon Trail. Cholla Trail is for moderate-level hikers, while Echo Canyon Trail is difficult, but ends at the top of the mountain with spectacular views. Both hikes take a little under two hours.
