This is not a 4 star resort. Renovations of the property are taking place but it’s the staff that especially needs an overhaul. At best the staff were present. Nothing was done to make us feel like guests. Our smoke alarm went off at all hours of the day. We finally asked to move rooms and they instead wanted to just remove our rooms smoke detector. They also insinuated that we were to blame for setting the alarm off at 1:30 when we were in a dead sleep. The “Concierge” service is a pitch to get you to sit through the vacation club presentation and buy tours through the hotel. Other notes: -Wi-Fi operated sporadically -ATM did not work and the front desk would not exchange money -Cell phone coverage does not work in large parts of the property (Verizon) -Wave pool was closed for the entire week of our stay -our elevator dropped several feet on more than one occasion. - Food is good and reasonably priced at the Arena restaurant -Pools were very nice when open. -Location is convenient

Nice hotel for a getaway!
This is a beautiful hotel in a nice location far down the hotel zone so it is overall quiet and relaxed, and it is still easy to get around by using the buses (which are cramped and dirty, but cheap and efficient and run every few minutes). The room we had was nice and the only complaints I have are very similar to any you would hear from someone who doesn't normally stay by the ocean staying by the ocean - everything was constantly damp, the bedding, the clothes we left outside our suitcases, the towels... just ways damp. The ocean is no joke. The mattress was very hard/firm, and the pillows were very soft and thin, and I couldn't quite get comfortable. But the place was kept very clean, and the cleaning staff were absolutely amazing, as was the service staff! All incredibly kind and helpful, the service was great 😃

Nice place, would stay there again.
We have been there in the past. The property has been visibly upgraded. Although the beach may be smaller, but there is still plenty of room on this awesome sand. The property is very clean, quiet, has a nice restaurant. One missing thing was a gift shop.

The overpriced food could have more effort put in to it. However, everything else was perfect. Beautiful property and beaches. There isn’t much to do or eat in the area, but we would come back for a lazy vacation to relax. Thanks for a great stay
