Loved being so close to the ocean. Beach was beautiful. Very poor service. We had to go get our own drinks. The wait staff seemed bothered if we asked for refills during our meals. Our safe in our room didn't work so they finally fixed it 2 days later at 11pm. Best service was our maid that cleaned our room each morning and greeted us with kind words. She also left animals shaped from towels on our bed with flowers or candy. We definitely tip her well each day.

Overall the staff was amazing. The rooms are outdated, there was a leak in the vent which created a puddle, they didn’t tell us we had maintenance coming or when they’d arrive so they came unannounced making us late for plans. One of our bedroom lights wasn’t working… the pools were dirty there was food and cups floating, and the beaches seem to be very crowded on the weekends with access to everyone and there were several law enforcement officers walking and kicking people out which lead us to leave the beach due to not knowing what was going on. Overall the staff is amazing very attentive. I went for a family trip and I will definitely not be staying here again..

RIU met our expectations. It was a busy lively atmosphere which is what I was looking for for my early 20's kids. The dining options could be better, the dining rooms were small for the amount of people this resort holds.
