The room itself was great for our party. There were issues with the water in the shower - it would stay hot for 5-7 minutes then go frigid cold for a few minutes. If I turned it off and back on, it would heat up for another 5-7 minutes. It was annoying but nothing can really be done about it. It didn’t have a great seal around the base so water would pool on the outside. The pool, while it is advertised as indoor, might as well had been outdoor. It was freezing. We said something to the front desk and they said it is considered “room temperature.” There is no way. Everyone was shivering and lips were blue. It needs a new heater or it needs to be listed as unheated. The breakfast was good, and the staff worked hard to restock, but it was clearly not prepared for a full capacity weekend. Many of the items were running out by Sunday and weren’t able to be restocked, which was frustrating. Lastly, and this was a personal error but still frustrating just the same, the advertisement says “Parking available “ but it did have a $ sign or the word “paid” in the description. So when I got there and saw it was $24 a day, I was a little shell shocked. When I went back and looked at the expanded details, that’s when I saw that it was not free. Overall, the hotel is really nice, but it could be better, especially for a Springhill if some of the details were paid attention to. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful though, and we’d probably stay again if we needed to.
