What you can expect

Still unfinished over 100 years after its construction began, La Sagrada Família is unlike any other church you've visited. On a guided tour of this architectural wonder, witness the ornate towers and multifaceted exterior before skipping the long lines and venturing inside to learn about the basilica's complex history.

Meet your guide near the basilica and then begin a walk around the church's imposing façade, its stone walls seemingly going in all different directions as its pinnacles tower up to the heavens above.

Listen to your guide as they inform you about the symbolism of the holy family, which is represented in a variety of ways through the church's design. The structure embodies Christian ideology as each major feature of the building exalts the family of Nazareth as a model for a united family.

Walk inside this holy church and witness the bright spectacular colors of the stained glass windows that shine on the white stone that covers the space. Stare at the ceiling above you, which is held up by hundreds of pillars that resemble crisscrossing tree branches.

Before the tour comes to an end, be sure to visit the crypt of Antoni Gaudi, the architect who designed the basilica and worked on it until his death in 1926.
