Fly from Abu Dhabi to Amman
While Abu Dhabi is a thriving modern city with plenty of attractions, a short, three-hour flight can have you in Amman, Jordan, discovering its fun and educational delights. While Amman can also make an excellent base for excursions into all parts of Jordan, the city does contain quite a few fascinating sites of its own, including its Roman ruins and the National Art Gallery. Travelers can arrive at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) to catch a flight to Amman via the efficient Al Ghazal taxis, by car or by boarding a city bus.
A Roman amphitheater and the Temple of Hercules top the list of ancient attractions to see. There's also an Ammonite tower that dates back to 1,000 BCE. Those who can appreciate artifacts can examine the collections in the National Archaeological Museum. The Balad is the old section of Amman, and it features souqs as well as interesting shops and cafes.

Visitors who fly from Abu Dhabi to Amman will arrive at Jordan's Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), which functions as the main air transport hub for the country. Both taxi and bus service are available to ferry passengers from the airport to their destinations. Amman's climate is Mediterranean in feel. The area experiences mild winters with temperatures in the 50s while summer temperatures tend to rise into the 90s or even the 100s.
