Bus service is also available, but the bus station isn't located at the airport. You can take a taxi from the bus station for approximately €10 ($12.30). Travel from the airport to the downtown area is available by commuter train, taxi and the city's bus services. The rail service connects Terminal 2 at the airport to the Barcelona Metro, while a bus service is available every 10 minutes. The train takes 27 minutes, while buses take approximately 35 minutes to make the journey to the downtown area. Bus and metro tickets cost about $16 and include transfers, with the ability to use the ticket on both transport types. Taxis can be caught in front of each of the airport's terminals. More than one suitcase or larger items will incur an additional transport fee when using the city taxis.
