Research flights from Newark to Dallas on Orbitz.com and you’ll soon be traveling from the city down the street from the Big Apple to the city where bigger means better. Orbitz can help you find great prices on airfare, deals on rental cars, and even hotel rooms.
Passengers from Newark fly out from Newark Liberty Airport, located approximately fifteen miles southwest of Manhattan, across the Hudson River. Long-term parking at the airport is available in Lot P6, and a free shuttle runs twenty-four hours a day to get you to and from the terminals. AirTrain Newark is a popular option for those who would rather leave their car behind. The rail service provides transportation from the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area to the airport. Taxi, limo, and van services are also available to get you to the airport. Once you’ve checked in at the airport, several dining options are available, from a quick donut at Dunkin’ Donuts to a sit-down meal at Tony Roma’s.
Flights into Dallas land at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) or Dallas Love Field, with the majority of traffic from Newark landing at DFW. If you’ve rented a car, simply follow the signs on the lower level of the terminal to the shuttle area for pick-up. Shuttle service runs every five minutes to the onsite rental terminal. Taxis and limousines can also be hailed outside the baggage claim, and public buses stop at the airport frequently. Pack your bags with one eye on Dallas weather forecasts. Summer in the city can be extremely hot, with average temperatures soaring higher than ninety degrees Fahrenheit, so you’ll want to bring plenty of light clothing. Winters in Dallas see occasional snowfall and freezing rain, making a coat a necessity. The city of Dallas offers entertainment and education experiences to rival those of any big city. While in town, visit Dealey Plaza and the Sixth Floor Museum in the old Dallas Book Depository. Audio-guided tours take you through the fateful day of JFK’s assassination. If you visit in the fall, take a day and enjoy the Texas State Fair with the kids. Fair Park is also open year-round, with exhibits including a beautiful Chinese lantern display in December.
Leave the hustle and bustle of Newark behind and experience the unique and distinctly southern flavor of a big city with an even bigger attitude. Daily flights from Newark to Dallas are always available on Orbitz.com, with package options available that include car rentals and hotel rooms.
