Take a break from life in the big city of Bangkok, and enjoy the slower pace of Koh Samui. Numerous beaches and yoga sanctuaries dot the island of Koh Samui. The only thing you need to do to explore this natural wonderland is to find flights from Bangkok to Koh Samui on Orbitz.com.
The Suvarnabhumi Airport sits sixteen miles from downtown Bangkok, and is one of the most popular airports in Thailand. When you need to leave your car at the airport, you can park in one of the long-term lots or a closer lot. The long-term lots cost 140 baht per day, while the other lots charge 250 baht per day. Public taxis will leave you right outside the passenger terminal, and there are twelve bus lines that stop at the airport. Keep in mind that buses only run during certain hours of the day. Travelers can also take one of the five bus lines available through BMTA for thirty-five baht or less.
After landing at the Samui Airport, you need to decide how you want to travel. It only takes a few minutes to reach Chaweng, which is the primary village in the area. Rental cars are available from Thai Rent A Car, Budget, Hertz, Sixt, Europcar, and Avis, and travelers can also choose a private car hire or minibus. The best time to visit Koh Samui is during the dry season, which runs from December to February. Temperatures range from the low 70s to more than eighty degrees Fahrenheit, and you don't need to worry about rain. Monsoon season begins in September and lasts until November, while March to August is the hottest season. You can beat the heat at the Angthong National Marine Park, Lamai Beach, Silver Beach, or Coco Splash Waterpark, which is one of the biggest amusement parks in the area.
From Silver Beach to Paradise Park Farm to the Samui Football Golf Club to the Big Buddha Temple, you will never run out of things to do in Koh Samui. Treat your family or someone special to this retreat by making affordable travel arrangements at Orbitz.com and finding flights from Bangkok to Koh Samui.
