When you fly to Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) Taipei, the capital of the island of Taiwan, you ll be just minutes from the center of the city. So, what is there to do on vacation in Taipei
Taipei draws millions of visitors a year, both business and leisure travelers. The city is bursting with attractions, not least of which is the food. East and West meet here, sometimes (not always) with great results, but almost every restaurant you ll visit will serve huge variety of different Asian dishes which are sure to be an absolute treat for your tastebuds.
Vietnamese food is highly popular in Taipei, and throughout the whole of Taiwan and Chinese influences can be seen everywhere in the city, but you'll also find European, Latin American and African flavors. Options range between delicious street snacks and high end gourmet dining.
A visit to Taipei 101, which was the tallest building in the world until 2010, is a must for anyone with a head for heights.
The city is also liberally sprinkled with various beautiful shrines and temples. Xinsheng South Road is the place to aim for to see many of these in one area.
