If you’re planning on traveling internationally and don’t have a passport yet, now might be the time to get one. As of Tuesday July 13, fees to buy a US passport will increase as much as 35% hiking the\u00a0cost of a new adult passport book from $110 to $135. The renewal fee will also increase, \u00a0going up from $85 to $105. \u00a0Check the new passport fees chart<\/a> for details on all the changes.<\/p>\n

For those of you traveling for work, the increased fees will also extend to visa applications<\/a>, so make sure you purchase those sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

You can find the nearest location to apply for a passport at the Department of Consular affairs’ passport facility search page<\/a> or if you live near a major city, at the nearest Passport Agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n
