The new flights will barely put a dent in the nearly 20 percent contraction in the national route network, but it can&#8217;t hurt. Here&#8217;s what to look for soon:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alaska Airlines<\/strong> is adding <a title=\"St. Louis\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformSDLPDealsContent?deal_id=stlouis&amp;cnt=PKG\" target=\"_self\">St. Louis<\/a> to its route network. It launches daily Boeing 737 flights from its <a title=\"Seattle\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformSDLPDealsContent?deal_id=seattle&amp;cnt=PKG\" target=\"_self\">Seattle<\/a> hub on September 27.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hawaiian Airlines<\/strong> launches flights between Kahului, Maui, and <a title=\"Las Vegas Vacation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=vegasvacation&amp;cnt=PKH\">Las Vegas<\/a> on October 3. The twice-weekly nonstops will operate with two-class Boeing 767s.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lan Peru<\/strong> begins flights between <a title=\"San Francisco\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=sanfrancisco-vacations&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">San Francisco<\/a> and Lima, Peru, on July 1. The airline will use two-class Boeing 767-300s on the route.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Delta Air Lines\\\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=delta-air-lines-flight-deals&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Delta Air Lines<\/a> is adding daily nonstop flights to <a title=\"Mexico\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=mexico&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">Mexico City<\/a> from Minneapolis. Flights begin December 18 with Airbus A318s configured with first and coach cabins. Delta also says it will resume flying Minneapolis-Paris on a year-round basis and go to daily flights on its Minneapolis-London route.<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"American Airlines\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=american-airlines-flight-deals&amp;cnt=OVI\" target=\"_self\">American Airlines<\/a> will add 11 flights a week to Brazil in the fall. That&#8217;ll cover daily flights between <a title=\"New York\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=new-york-city-vacations&amp;cnt=PKH\" target=\"_self\">New York<\/a>&#8216;s Kennedy Airport and Rio de Janeiro and four weekly flights between <a title=\"Miami\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PerformMDLPDealsContent?deal_id=miami-vacations&amp;cnt=PKH\" target=\"_self\">Miami<\/a> and Brasilia. The service launches November 18, but American won&#8217;t be operating first-class cabins on either route.
