Rhodes is a <\/span>28-year-old trans <\/span>man<\/span> and Texas native who runs <\/span>LGBTQIA clothing brand<\/span>, FLAVNT,<\/span> with <\/span>his<\/span> twin sister<\/span> where <\/span>15% of sales<\/span> are donated to<\/span> trans folks for their surgeries. <\/span>On his <\/span>I<\/span>nstagram<\/span> page<\/span>,<\/span> Rhodes <\/span>posts about his<\/span> transition, fashion, food, fitness<\/span> and <\/span>travel<\/span>. <\/span>This tour, in his own words, features ATX’s best food, fun and even a few outdoor attractions where you can bring Fido. <\/span><\/p>\n

This super cute, boutique hotel on Congress Avenue is queer-woman owned with rainbow photo-ops. Austin Motel<\/a>‘s iconic signs, neon lights in the carport driveway area and awesome restaurant makes it a must-stop.<\/span><\/p>\n

I could pick a spot or two <\/span>here, but<\/span> honestly, spend the day exploring. You will find the famous <\/span>\u201c<\/span>I love you so much<\/span>\u201d<\/span> wall outside <\/span>J<\/span><\/a>o\u2019s Coffee, along with lots of iconic neon signs, shops galore, plenty of great coffee, drink and food options<\/span>. <\/span>I recommend <\/span>grabbing <\/span>M<\/span>a\u00f1ana<\/span> for coffee,<\/span> then<\/span> spend the day shopping and walking, <\/span>with <\/span>an early dinner at Perla<\/a>\u2019s\u2014my fav<\/span>orite<\/span> date night spot in town<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barton Springs,\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Zilker Park<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Barton Springs<\/span> is a must!<\/span> B<\/span>ut not the pool which is currently not open.<\/span> I\u2019m talking about the adjacent springs that feed Barton Springs Pool. This side of Barton Springs is free, it\u2019s dog friendly and <\/span>much more of a <\/span>vibe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cheer Up <\/span><\/b>Charlies<\/span><\/b>
\n<\/span><\/h1>\n

M<\/span>ost of our gay bars in Austin are located off of 4th Street<\/span>. Although<\/span> Cheer Up Charlies<\/a> is not<\/span>,<\/span> it\u2019s still one of the most fun <\/span>and<\/span> most queer spaces in town. If you ever happen to be in Austin on a night that they\u2019re having their Neon Rainbows event<\/span>,<\/span> DJ <\/span>Boi<\/span> Orbison (a local queer\/trans DJ) <\/span>will give you a<\/span> ’90s country night you didn\u2019t know you needed in your life. A room full of gays singing <\/span>Shania?<\/span> There\u2019s nothing better.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pennybacker<\/span><\/b> B<\/span><\/b>ridge<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

Also known as the <\/span>360 bridge, this landmark is located atop a short hike with an overlook that is breathtaking. This is a very <\/span>A<\/span>ustin-y place to get outdoors, take your pup and snag a photo to show all your friends the endless Texas skies.<\/span><\/p>\n

East Side of Austin <\/b>Breweries<\/b><\/h1>\n

F<\/span>rom <\/span>Zilker<\/span>\u00a0to Friends and Allies, Hops and Grain, Blue Owl, Lazarus, to Central Machine Works<\/span>, there are lots of breweries to explore! <\/span>You can string together a bunch of great beer drinking on this side of tow<\/span>n.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
