Just hours before Republic announced its Midwest buy in late June, Southwest firmed up its previously announced intention to invade Midwest&#8217;s hub. Southwest&#8217;s Milwaukee service will begin on <strong>November 1<\/strong> with<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>three daily <a title=\"Cheap flights, cheap tickets on Orbitz\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PrepareFlightsTab\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>flights<\/strong><\/a> to both <strong>Kansas City<\/strong> and <strong>Baltimore\/Washington<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>two daily flights to both <strong>Las Vegas<\/strong> and <strong>Orlando<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>and daily flights to both <strong>Phoenix<\/strong> and <strong>Tampa<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All of the destinations chosen by Southwest are already flown by <strong>Midwest<\/strong> or <strong>AirTran Airways<\/strong>, which has built up its Milwaukee flying since an abortive attempt two years ago to merge with Midwest.
