Overseen by the National Institute of Fisheries and the Fishing and Marine Biology Station of the University of Guadalajara, the Sea Turtle Rescue Program offers guests a unique opportunity to participate in the entire process of hatching and releasing baby sea turtles. Guests can help comb the beach to provide a groomed surface where the turtles can lay their eggs (enjoy this with a margarita in hand). When the sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs and let nature take its course, they face a tiny obstacle: nature has a big resort sitting on it. Problem solved when the resort staff transports the eggs to a nursery for incubation. Once the eggs hatch\u00a0 — after about 45 days — the baby sea turtles are ready to enter the wild. And every evening on the Marriot CasaMagna beach, guests can help release these baby sea turtles to the sea.<\/p>\n
