The <strong>pets-welcome policy<\/strong> was effective on June 17.<\/li>\n<li>Separately, <strong>Southwest raised its third-bag fee to $50<\/strong>; Southwest still permits travelers to check two bags free of charge.<\/li>\n<li>Bankrupt <strong>Frontier Airlines<\/strong>, which has been profitable for the past six months, is expanding again. It will resume regional-jet <a title=\"Cheap flights, cheap tickets on Orbitz\" href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PrepareFlightsTab\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>flights<\/strong><\/a> to <strong>Tulsa<\/strong> from its Denver hub on August 2.<\/li>\n<li><strong>JetBlue Airways<\/strong> will launch flights between its hub at <strong>New York&#8217;s Kennedy Airport<\/strong> hub and <strong>Kingston, Jamaica<\/strong>, on October 30.<\/li>\n<li>The big airline alliances continue to expand. <strong>Star Alliance<\/strong> is adding <strong>Aegean Airlines<\/strong> of Greeceand <strong>Oneworld<\/strong> will add <strong>S7 Airlines<\/strong>, a fast-growing Russian carrier.<\/li>\n<li>The Transportation Security Administration has barred <strong>Delta Air Lines<\/strong> from launching its flights to <strong>Nairobi, Kenya<\/strong>, and <strong>Monrovia, Liberia<\/strong>. The agency says the destinations are too dangerous and there are demonstrable threats to civil aviation.
