Pair any burger with\u00a0one of\u00a0their famous frozen custards, chocolate shakes or root beer floats, and definitely opt for cheese fries.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Uptown Brasserie<\/strong> (Terminal 4, Gate 32): As it&#8217;s owned by <em>Top Chef<\/em> Marcus Samuelson (Harlem&#8217;s Red Rooster), you just know the food here is\u00a0going to be good. Order the Reuben, Market Burger or\u00a0Grandma\u2019s Meatballs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Palm<\/strong> (Terminal 4, Before Gate B23): Luckily for those with a layover, one of New York&#8217;s best known steak houses has an outpost at JFK. If you have time, it&#8217;s a lovely place to stop in for a proper dinner. The steaks are great, as are the crab cakes for a lighter appetizer. They have a pretty decent wine list and full bar, so you can sip a Manhattan just before wheels up.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deep Blue<\/strong> (Terminal 5, Center Marketplace): Jetblue\u2019s Terminal 5 houses one of the most well-regarded sushi restaurants in all of airport-land. The chef and restauranteur behind Buddakan in Manahattan, Michael Schulson, has brought high-caliber sushi and Japanese yakitori\u00a0to the traveling crowd. Look for the blue lights just off the main Terminal 5 market place.<\/li>\n<li><strong>La Vie<\/strong> (Terminal 5, Center Marketplace): Breakfast can be tough at the JetBlue terminal. The service at the center-area caf\u00e9s is slow and the Starbucks line is 562 miles long. But just to the right of Starbucks, hidden behind the line of Venti seekers, is a little French Brasserie called La Vie. Ask for extra horseradish mayo\u2014the more you slather,\u00a0the better.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Surdyk&#8217;s Flights<\/strong> (Terminal 1, just after security AND Terminal 2 near Gate H8): One of the most beloved wine bars in Minneapolis now has\u00a0<em>two<\/em>\u00a0locations at MSP. Stop in for a killer glass of wine and gourmet cheese &amp; charcuterie plate pre-flight to ease any travel jitters. Both locations offer their signature wine flights, small plates to share, as well as salads and sandwiches\u2014all available as buy-and-fly options.
