World Naked Bike Ride | Flickr CC: bjpcorp<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n If you’ve ever had an\u00a0evening stroll\u00a0interrupted by\u00a0an advancing\u00a0blur of flesh, then you’ve probably already participated in the World Naked Bike Ride<\/a>\u2014at least as a spectator. While it’s a longtime global event that\u00a0defends the rights of cyclists and pedestrians while exposing oil dependence, it’s also a great way to get naked\u00a0while working those calves. Happening annually in June in\u00a0nearly every major U.S. city and overseas in London, Amsterdam<\/a>, Paris<\/a> and Madrid<\/a> and many others (a Southern Hemisphere version happens every March), this wild ride provides a perfect excuse to strip down (hey, it’s for a cause!) and, importantly, offers safety in numbers. Best of all, you can always ride in your skivvies or in body paint. Trust us, folks get mighty creative.<\/p>\n We’regoing to lay bare (get it?!) the fact that we can think of dozens of cities with climates better suited to a naked\u00a0rooftop bar than London<\/a>, but if you’re in the swinging British capital during a rare sunny day and dying to show of your Big (or even smallish!) Ben in mixed company, consider checking out the new popup bar that opened in Parliament Square in August to promote the online streaming service Now TV and in addition to drinking, offers naked activities like a designated sunbathing area, trampolines and even swing ball. No word yet whether the bar will return in 2017, but even if it doesn’t there’s always\u00a0Bunyadi<\/a>, the naked London restaurant which closed in August, but is aiming to reopen soon as a private membership club. Garden of Eden | Photo courtesy of @taylorroars<\/p><\/div>\n Given that sunny Key West<\/a> is the only city in the continental U.S. that never reaches freezing temperatures and that the so-called “Conch Republic” likes to imagine itself as a separate country entirely, it’s not so surprising that brash and noisy Duval Street is home to the city’s only clothing optional rooftop bar. As you can imagine, the reviews are mixed. The bar will inevitably draw its fairshare of gawkers and despite popular opinion,\u00a0millennials are less likely to strip down than their baby boomer counterparts. Nevertheless, with enough drinks, Garden of Eden really is for everyone and the super shy can opt for onsite body painting which kinda makes it look like you’re wearing clothing, right? The Germans have a long tradition of not just tolerating, but actually celebrating nudity and\u00a0they even have a wordy\u00a0German phrase for free body culture and it’s called\u00a0Freik\u00f6rper-Kultur<\/em>. Germany has a ton of nude beaches where you’ll see generations of families hanging out together in the buff, but if you’re looking to avoid getting sand up your bum, then consider stripping down smack in the middle of Berlin<\/a>. It’s main park is the lovely Tiergarten, a verdant urban park where you’ll find folks cycling, jogging, picnicking and, yes, nude sunbathing. Look for naked sunbathers near the\u00a0Siegess\u00e4ule\u00a0<\/i>(or Victory Column), but remember that in freewheeling Berlin there are other places to strip down, as well, including the city’s many famous sex clubs. Folsom Street Fair | Flickr CC: joped<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n Nudity is just the tip of the iceberg at this outdoor fetish festival held annually in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco<\/a>, so if the sight of a nipple or a nice set of\u00a0cakes\u00a0makes you blush then you best stay far, far away from this leather festival where thousands lay bare not just their flesh but also their wildest fantasies. Having said that, a more welcoming crowd you’ll probably never meet and with more than 400,000 in attendance there’s nothing subculture about Folsom<\/a> these days. While you’ll see plenty of folks submitting to their wildest fantasies in full public view, the festival\u00a0is equally\u00a0about boozing, schmoozing, shopping the fetish market and checking out live bands. Besides, it’s the parties afterward where\u00a0things really\u00a0get naughty. Photo courtesy of Naked Yoga LA<\/p><\/div>\n There are some private parts we’d rather not twist into a Gomukhasana or an Ardha Matsyendrasana, but that’s exactly what folks do at\u00a0Naked Yoga LA<\/a>, a coed nude yoga studio based in Venice<\/a>. Classes are geared toward beginning and intermediate yogis and are clothing optional meaning that while nudity is encouraged, it’s not required.\u00a0Having said that, serious yogis tend to be of higher mind\u00a0which means they’ll be focused on the mind and body connection, not checking one another out. Classes happen every Sunday and registration is required, but the folks at Naked Yoga LA also offer one-on-one classes at private residences.<\/p>\n The word intimate is written right there in the name so we needn’t be\u00a0shocked to learn this Riviera Maya<\/a> gem puts its money where its mouth is. Set in the Caribbean jungle just steps from the town of Tulum and also its beautiful beaches, Intima Resort Tulum is completely clothing optional meaning not just poolside, but everywhere in the resort\u2014even the restaurant. Guests are required\u00a0to carry a towel to sit on (for cleanliness reasons), but are otherwise encouraged to wear as little (or as much, it should be noted) as they wish. We’re guessing this one’s big with European crowds.<\/p>\n Standup paddle boarding in Key West<\/p><\/div>\n Another entry from the Conch Republic is tour company Nomadic SUP<\/a>,\u00a0which adds a naked twist\u00a0on the standup paddle boarding craze. Tour guide Cody White leads all kinds of family-friendly eco and sunset tours through Florida’s wild and wooly mangroves, and then there’s\u00a0the so-called “Natural Tour,” which allows guests to strip down and enjoy the experience of navigating Florida’s most serene natural wonders in the buff.\u00a0White’s knowledge of the region is astounding and the mangroves are off-the-beaten path and completely secluded. We say yes and we also think the World Bodypainting Festival<\/a>\u00a0happens to be one cool fest. Happening every July in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt am W\u00f6rthersee, this annual fest turns 20 in 2017 and attracts thousands for a weekend of artistry, including body painting workshops, live music, exhibitions, meet ups and competition. The event attracts 30,000 spectators and artists from more than 45 countries and\u00a0the level of talent is jaw dropping.
