We had limited time for a family vacation<\/a> during March break, so we decided to take a road trip and stay a couple nights in Niagara Falls, Ontario — just 90 minutes from Toronto. My family and I, along with our friends and their two children (ages 9 and 4), decided to take in the sites and sounds of one of the wonders of the world and take advantage of the other family attractions nearby.<\/p>\n

We stayed at the Sheraton on The Falls<\/a>, and the hotel was gracious enough to give us connecting rooms. The hotel rooms were extra big (two queen beds plus a sofa bed), which gave the kids room to run around and have a play area for coloring and activities. Since the hotel was right across from the falls, our rooms had truly breathtaking views of Niagara Falls.<\/p>\n

The pedestrian area near Niagara Falls offered many vantage points and lots of room for the kids to exert some energy! They were amazed to see the waterfalls and were confused that they never stopped.<\/p>\n

The big feature and bonus of staying at the Sheraton on the Falls for our family vacation was the fact it was connected to the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark<\/strong>. We spent the entire day swimming, going down slides, wading in the wave pool, lunching, and just enjoying the warmth of this incredible facility. Later in the day the dads and the kids went to AdventureCity — a big playground for kids and adults alike with rides, games and prizes. A trip to the spa was a must for me — to get away from all the excitement and get ready for another day of fun.<\/p>\n

The following day we went to Niagara Falls Aviary<\/strong><\/a>, a 45,000-square-foot tropical rain forest. The bats and the 100-pound python were a big hit. One of the best things about taking a family vacation at Niagara Falls is all the family-friendly dining options. There were so restaurants — all within walking distance: Perkins, Hard Rock Caf\u00e9, The Keg, Planet Hollywood — and a little midnight snack at the Hershey\u2019s store. We look forward to another Niagara Falls family vacation this summer!<\/p>\n
