This hotel\/brewery\/taphouse\/museum opened in the summer of 2018 and offers hotel guests a gym, mini fridge with a curated beer collection, locally made craft beer soaps and free WiFi. But the DogHouse<\/a>‘s most unforgettable amenities are definitely the shower beer fridge (you know, so you can relax with a brew while you get clean) and the in-room taps featuring your choice of house brews.

Based inside the former Pabst Brewery, this inn and suites<\/a>\u00a0keeps its legacy alive. Six original brew kettles remain and the front desk is constructed from empty beer bottles. Plus, the inn\u2019s Blue Room was once the break room for Pabst workers and the place for Milwaukee police officers to hang\u00a0between shifts. Today, there are 90 furnished suites. Jackson\u2019s Blue Ribbon Pub, an independently owned restaurant, holds happy hours, Sunday brunch and a Friday fish fry. For Pabst aficionados, there\u2019s a special package called the \u201cBeer Baron\u201d where guests get a six-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon and accompanying glasses delivered to their room. They also get two admission tickets to the Pabst Mansion, once the home of Captain Frederick Pabst.<\/p>\n

Not far from Rehoboth Beach<\/a>, this inn<\/a> owned by Delaware-based Dogfish Head Brewery is equipped with modern amenities, local finds and beer-related touches. Opened in the summer of 2014, this retro-chic looking motel caters nature lovers with its coastal location, but also suds lovers\u00a0with its close proximity to the\u00a0company\u2019s Rehoboth Beach brewpub and Milton production brewery. The inn’s got 16 rooms, and each features Dogfish wool blankets, wall art depicting the Lightship Overfalls\u2014a National Historic Landmark\u2014and a mini-fridge full of locally-produced nibbles. No liquor is served on the premises, but the rooms contain barware for serving DogFish beers from their brewery and brewpub. There\u2019s also a lending library with books selected by San Francisco\u2019s City Lights Bookstore. In encouraging guests not to stay indoors, the inn offers tote bags, beach chairs, and guides on local natural attractions. A\u00a0few dog-friendly rooms have been set aside to accommodate furry guests.<\/p>\n

Howe Sound Inn: Squamish,\u00a0British Columbia<\/h3>\n

America is not the only place for beer hotels; its neighbor to the north also has its fair share. One of them is the Howe Sound Inn<\/a> in Squamish, which is about 45 minutes from Vancouver. This Western Canadian property belongs to Howe Sound Brewing, which produces its micro-brewed ales and draft lagers right on site. Visitors have their choice of 20 cozy guest rooms, and can also take the daily brewery tour. For dinner, head to their beer pub for artisanal pizzas, burgers and apps with suggested beer pairings.<\/p>\n

Trapp Family Lodge: Stowe, VT<\/h3>\n

The von Trapp family is largely recognized for their singing talents, but did you know that one of them is into brewing? At the Trapp Family Lodge<\/a> in Stowe, family member Johannes von Trapp started von Trapp Brewing in 2010 to produce an American version of Austrian lager inspired by his visits to his family\u2019s homeland. At an onsite brewery at this four-season Alpine resort, guests can taste about eight crafted beers and will be able to dine at an adjacent restaurant reminiscent of an Austrian beer hall that\u2019s set to open this fall. The European-influenced resort accommodations consist of various suites, villas and guest houses, along with a dining room, wine cellar, bakery and winter log cabin serving as a skiers\u2019 hangout spot.<\/p>\n

McMenamins Kennedy School: Portland,\u00a0OR<\/h3>\n

Like its name suggests, this Portland hotel<\/a>\u00a0was formerly an elementary school.It welcomed studentsfrom the 1910s through the mid-1970s until closing its doors. Sibling brewery entrepreneurs Mike and Brian McMenamin revived the crumbling building and transformed it into a hotel complex where guests can stay in one of 57 rooms and visit\u00a0on-site venues such as a movie theater, several\u00a0bars and Concordia Brewery based inside what was once the school\u2019s \u201clittle girls\u2019 room.\u201d Of course, the facility also churns out standard and boutique beer selections such as their King\u2019s Landing IPA. (It\u2019s like having beer while you\u2019re in school, without being sent to the principal\u2019s office.)\u00a0Studious remnants of the building\u2019s past such as old pictures and chalkboards remain.<\/p>\n
