About 50 restaurants are<br \/>\noffering specials under the banner of Wow! $5 Chow! The grub ranges<br \/>\nfrom a chicken sandwich and a large beverage at Chick-Fil-A in<br \/>\nPhiladelphia to dessert and coffee at Todd English&#39;s Figs in LaGuardia.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fighting a steep decline of passengers on its Air Shuttle routes between <strong>New York\/LaGuardia<\/strong>, <strong>Boston<\/strong> and <strong>Washington\/National<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/GDDC?deal_id=air-delta-airlines\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Delta Air Lines on Orbitz\">Delta Air Lines<\/a><\/strong> has cut some one-way fares as low as $129.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/GDDC?deal_id=air-northwest-airlines\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Northwest Airlines on Orbitz\">Northwest Airlines<\/a><\/strong> name and brand has disappeared at two more airports &#8212; <strong>Albany, New York,<\/strong> and <strong>Knoxville, Tennessee<\/strong> &#8212; and Northwest <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.orbitz.com\/App\/PrepareFlightsTab\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Cheap flights, cheap tickets on Orbitz\">flights<\/a><\/strong> have been moved to Delta Air Lines gates.<\/li>\n<li>Marriott has opened a 187-room <strong>Courtyard hotel in Toulouse, France<\/strong>. It is located about three miles from the airport and the home of Airbus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>British Airways<\/strong> says it will launch flights to <strong>Las Vegas<\/strong><br \/>\nfrom London\/Heathrow beginning on October 25. BA will use Boeing 777s<br \/>\nconfigured with business-class, premium-economy and coach cabins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\n<strong>HOTEL HOT SHEET<br \/>Absolutely, Positively the End of Adam&#39;s Mark Hotels<\/strong>: The slow disintegration of the once-formidable Adam&#39;s Mark chain is almost complete. The two remaining properties &#8212; in Buffalo and Indianapolis &#8212; are now on track for brand changes. In <strong>Buffalo<\/strong>, the 464-room Adam&#39;s Mark was sold in February for the second time in as many years. Now it is getting an incentive package from Buffalo-area authorities and the new owners say some of the cash will be used to <strong>upgrade the hotel<\/strong> to the physical standards of the Crowne Plaza chain. In <strong>Indianapolis<\/strong>, the 407-room Adam&#39;s Mark was sold in April, also for the second time in as many years. The previous owners never completed an upgrade program for the 35-year-old hotel, but the new owners say the property will be <strong>improved and rebranded in the next few months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Speaking of reflaggings, the former Holiday Inn in Trevose, Pennsylvania, has undergone a $4 million renovation and has emerged as the 214-room <strong>Crowne Plaza Philadelphia-Bucks County<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>A 150-room <strong>Hilton Garden Inn<\/strong> has opened in <strong>Yuma, Arizona<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The six-year-old <strong>Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma<\/strong> in the Bahamas has closed. The resort is part of the 500-acre Emerald Bay development, which has been in receivership since 2007.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NEED TO KNOW<\/strong><br \/><strong>On-the-Road Intelligence to Help You Travel Smarter<\/strong><br \/>American AAdvantage has introduced <strong>one-way awards<\/strong> priced at half the number of miles required to claim a round-trip ticket. The one-way awards can be mixed and matched based on class of service and availability of seats in award-level categories. At the same time, however, AAdvantage has ended the practice of free stopovers on most of its round-trip awards.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A federal bankruptcy judge has ruled that the former majority owner of defunct <strong>Aloha Airlines<\/strong> cannot bid on the carrier&#39;s name.
