This week\u00a0I traveled to\u00a0Orlando to explore everything that is new and different at Walt Disney World. I haven’t been to the resort since I was 9 years old, so I was curious to see what my experience would be like as an adult. Since I don\u2019t have kids, I\u00a0checked out some of the more adventurous activities outside of the parks that teens and adults would enjoy.<\/p>\n

Here are\u00a0my four favorites:<\/p>\n

Parasailing at Contemporary Resort in Bay Lake <\/strong><\/p>\n

For fabulous aerial views of the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, go parasailing<\/strong>. Get launched in the air behind a boat on Bay Lake at Disney\u2019s Contemporary Resort<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The best part is you don\u2019t have to get in the water at all and your friends or family can enjoy the boating experience while you are soaring through the air.<\/p>\n

Richard Petty Driving Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Look out, I'm stepping behind the wheel.<\/p><\/div>\n

Here’s a thrill beyond the roller coasters at Disney.\u00a0Get suited up in a onezie and helmet and ride shotgun in a NASCAR-style stock car around the Walt Disney World Speedway track.<\/p>\n

This was one of the scarier things I have ever done, but it was a blast! You reach speeds of up to 140 mph. I felt\u00a0like I was\u00a0in an actual race.<\/p>\n

Wanyama Safari Tour at Kidani Village<\/strong><\/p>\n

This safari<\/strong> is available exclusively to guests staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge<\/a> and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Kidani Villas<\/a>.\u00a0 The safari takes you around the resort grounds to get a close up view of the\u00a0animals that live there, such as\u00a0giraffes, ostriches and\u00a0zebras.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Afterward, the safari group dines together at Jiko<\/strong> and is served a family-style dinner with wine pairings.\u00a0 One entree includes two of my favorite foods ever:\u00a0filet mignon and mac & cheese.\u00a0 It was incredible.<\/p>\n

Grand Floridian Spa & Health Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

While going to the spa might not sound adventurous, the Grand Floridian <\/a>offers a massage you can\u2019t get anywhere else in the U.S.! It\u2019s called the Aurum Manus method<\/strong> and it is based on the use of warmed organic oils and healing semi-precious stone spheres.\u00a0 I recommend getting this massage at the end of your trip – you’ll definitely\u00a0need it after all of these adventures.<\/p>\n
